I kind of see your point. I've said it a few times but I think we need stability and there's a chance he could be the right man for that.
However, they could offer a short term contract with a bonus for survival. That gives him motivation to keep us up, but it might not motivate him to try his very hardest. So, they could change that and just offer a two/three year deal without the bonus and then still get rid of him at the end of the season.
The result is the same but instead of paying a survival bonus
we just pay off his contract. That could give him more motivation in the short term as he thinks he has a longer contract, but then in the end he still gets a similar financial 'bonus' of keeping us up?
