I think we beat them 5-1 or 5-0 away the season before... towards the end of the season. It was the night that we finally couldn’t make the play-offs.

Morgans first goal.

Don't think that was the night not making the Play offs was confirmed though, thought that was a 0-0 draw at home to Oldham as I remember the Hudders fans invading in their droves on 606.

I’m not 100% but I seem to recall having mixed emotions that night. Stinking win that in the end wasn’t enough?? The old grey matter is a little fuzzy these days.

I remember clear as day listening to it on solent and pretty sure it was midweek.

Certain it was Morgans first goal though :)

I agree with most of this. I had 15 years of hands on management, and it's the toughest gig in the world imo, in any industry.

It's worth remembering also, that some managers are better than others at getting people onside quickly, and selling a vision through the force of their personalities. Others may take longer to get their ideas across. That doesn't necessarily mean the ones who make an immediate impact are better managers in the long term - forceful personalities can start to grate after a time, whilst quieter people who take longer to win you over, often end up inspiring greater loyalty and trust.

But in modern football, who has patience, and who has loyalty? Underrated values that may be due a comeback? We'll see.

Very good point re managerial style.

That was a great performance and I went nuts for Morgan’s goal.
Huddersfield were losing in their match and got a last minute draw or win, which might not have lost us the play offs mathematically, but it did make it very unlikely

Its a 3% swing back in his favour. I'm predicting at least a 15-20% swing if we get the result at Bournemouth. Still havent changed mine but I've seen signs of change and will reverse the vote if he can keep demonstrating that he knows what he's doing.

Bournemouth, Arsenal, Leicester. Sustain these performances (and Pellegrino's sudden capacity for tactical malleability) through those three and I'll perhaps reconsider.
