Sorry I ****ed up the last one as I wanted to see who voted for what. So a simple in and out, no inbetween, no give x amount of time or see what happens. Just what does your gut instinct say about keeping Pellegrino? In or out?
For me, it's about the replacement. (I wrote MP off two weeks ago.) We cannot afford to get it wrong yet again.
I'm out. Normally always give managers time but I still now do not see his plan and he makes some baffling decisions. Woefully out of his depth for me. **** knows who to get in though.
Clearly isn't working at the moment, but if we pull the trigger who will we/can get? Big Sam has been mentioned but he doesn't fit our way.....AVB maybe?
We gambled and lost. We need to stop gambling and bring in someone with experience who will drop poor performers and encourage hungry players with something to prove. Warning signs were there at the pre season 0-4 against Augsburg and MP has never really got it right. 12 games in and an early cup exit at home without scoring and players and fans alike lost confidence. To me, this is completely different to Puel who was juggling 2 cup competitions and still playing well in the league. MP has had no other distractions and time to work with the team. No improvement, little hope. I would go for a change, but not a stop gap change.
I’d keep him, but we won’t I don’t think. Les Reed then will take a punt on another young manager from the continent because he got lucky with Pochetinno a few years ago (wasn’t his decision that one anyway)
I'm usually pretty patient with managers, but I have zero faith MP2 can make us competitive. Out for me, and the board needs to change the way we recruit, both managers and players. We've tried the young/untested/cheap method...it doesn't work so needs to change. We need to spend competitively on players, and bring in a manager who can take this squad by the scruff of the neck and give them a damn good shake up. Watched the game on a stream, wish I hadn't.
I just don't think a new manager is going to help matters. The players just aren't good enough (though admittedley MoPe isn't inspiring me, much)
Have a replacement lined up first. None of this "sack him, spend a month looking for a replacement under an interim manager" nonsense. We aren't going to take many points over the next month anyway, so hang Pellegrino out to dry while we seek someone demonstrably better. And if that someone better is already employed, pay the ****ing compensation. Dumpster diving on one of the most important positions at the club to save a couple mil is comical when your organization makes nearly 200m a year.
What utter bollocks 'the players aren't good enough': http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/table Man for man, our squad is better than at least Bournemouth, Huddersfield, Brighton and Burnley of those above us in the table.. and I'd argue those teams have had harder fixtures too. The squad has issues for sure, but it's better than what's on show so far.
