How prescient we were. Pretty much tadic, JWP and Austin in the box for every cross yesterday. And Lo, goals did floweth, verily there were a torrent.

I voted IN but that was more to do with 1) the lack of options available to replace him and 2) thinking he needs more time and another window to really be sure that he isn't the right man.

Yesterday's result, whilst nice, doesn't make him the new messiah as Everton were really that bad. Lets see how we do against Bournemouth next weekend now as Wednesday is a write off.

I'm probably more of a **** than him tbh.

@Ian Thumwood you couldn't be more wrong. Tom is my sock account used on the Saints board.

    Cheeky **** <ok>

Exactly. Being able to carry the momentum from the Everton result into the Bournemouth game - after the inevitable battering by City - is hugely important. If MP2 can manage that, then perhaps he is on the right track.

Revert to type in the next couple of matches though (Tadic on right, Redmond starting), and he'll prove he's possibly out of his depth.

And whether our manager should take up pole vaulting and change his name to Pollegrino.

And that's the point really....it's all very close and one win makes all the difference.....far too early to call for Mauricio's head (especially without a super-duper replacement). We will be fine (if you define fine as safe but not in Europe) because we will get those odd wins and draws that are needed.

It depends on how things go. Yesterday was very much needed but they're an unbelievably poor side and with the fixtures we've got we could still end up in trouble come new year.

I think it's almost absolutely essential that we beat Bournemouth tbh, and still think we need at least one signing in January.

Wouldn't say it is essential we win, after Sunday we can afford a draw, not losing is key though.

Looking at our fixtures I would say it almost is.

My thinking is that we have good players and we can play a lot better than we have been, so I think we will tick over ok.*

*Does not mean that we don't need a little freshener or two in January. o_O

I haven't seen the real Minging Blue 3 here for ages which is surprising because he is usually first in line to post a remark if we lose two games on the bounce. Then again, I suppose it must be difficult to type a post something when your arms are restrained within a straight jacket.

That's the reason for our decline this season, Minging hasn't posted a "Scummers Going Down" thread on the Skate's board this year...:(
