Training ground should stay in Cott, there’s more than enough space to develop it, just need to flatten that ****e prefab building.

Its one week a year
Surely can't be hard to find a other place for it

It seems quite short sighted to have a huge plot if land doing essentially nothing

I agree. Many, if not most on here would agree. But we don’t make the decisions. This is Hull Council, don’t forget.

I think Walton Street would be a poor place to have the training ground. Not sure it would be attractive to would be signings to be inner city. Much better to be out to the West Hull villages surely?

It won't be a city centre site, if it was me and my money, I'd be making a very kind offer to hull Ionians for their set up and potentially the farmer who owns the fields next to it to make it into a full blown training and academy set up

That feels exactly the kind of place I was thinking of.

Might be talking out my rear on this one but I heard Ionians keep funding their club by selling off land that they own around their facilities to developers. I think they would be very happy with an offer for their full facility providing a replacement is guaranteed for them but I am not sure it is as big as it used to be. Fantastic location for a training ground though. Lovely area, private and far enough away from Hull.

They sold off part of the site in 1995, it's what funded the building of all the facilities that are on the site now, they've not sold anything since that I'm aware of.
