Yeah, you’re right, can’t remember his name either but he made Nigel Pearson come across like a pussycat.
Liverpool did it in the early 90’s too with Evans and Houllier but it wasn’t particularly successful and didn’t last long. I suspect that was probably down to egos and I’d like to think that wouldn’t be the case with Rosie & Dawson.

I sat behind Evan's and Sammy Lee on a flight from Manchester to Copenhagen once, and listening to Evan's I didn't come away with a particularly favourable impression of him, loud mouthed and self-opinionated. Houllier always came across as a humble sort of guy, so I could see why that didn't go well.

"Slow build up" is the new "no plan B".

Personally I'm more interested in whether we can be gritty when out of posession. Winning the ball back quickly has made a real difference in the better performances under Dawson. Whether it's a slow or direct build up then as long as we keep the ball and continue creating chances it's really down to the coaches preference - as long as we can actually play that way.

Kind of disrespectful to Dawson to even bring Rosenior’s name up.

He is 38 years old and hasnt even managed a team for a full season. Rosenior can carry Dawsons notebook thats it.
If dawson is going to be replaced it should be with an established name

Not really a slight. Just a journo doing his job and a coach straight-batting the question as happens every week at every club.

3 coaches with him too. Assuming Pardo is staying as well as Dawson. Guess the new faces are from Derby so anyone know who he had start of this season?

Not necessarily, pretty sure Baz said some are in work elsewhere and Warne will have brought his own staff with him

Rather than be upset about Daws missing out, or which if the pair has more credentials for the job.

Think about the risk this represents to Acun and co. It’s not a big flashy name for the big project, its not an easy appointment to make, it’s not an appointment that will earn kudos and credibility back in Turkey. In stark contrast to the summer transfer policy this a much more toned down, sensible, you could say locally influenced decision.

It’s one that says to me the owners are actually serious about this whole ‘one family’ stuff and want to build strong local roots and stability, rather than just show off to their compatriots.

So despite my reservations on football terms, I’m actually more comfortable with it than any foreign appointment we thought he would make.

If Pardo goes I for one will be disappointed like the notion of someone pouring over stats and watching opponents 24 hours a day. And some on here alluding that he is responsible for at least part of the turnaround of fortunes for the club on the playing field. I dont know whether that is wishfuil thinking on my part.

What do you mean, why?

Did you ever listen to any of his press conferences and interviews when he was here?
Oh,I get it.In order for me to have liked what Steve Bruce did at the Club,it had to go hand in hand with me also liking the Allams because he did? Interesting theory Yapusi...
