We sack managers because they are ****. Tell me a manager what we sacked and then he goes on to be class? ****ing nobody.

1 win in 15 and people wanted to keep him. Same with the pricks with moyes. We cant keep on sacking managers blah ****ing blah.

Sack 10 more if we land on the right one for me.

Southend boss Phil Brown:

“Sunderland are my football club and being the manager of Sunderland would be my dream job because of that.

“I have supported Sunderland for more than 50 years and would go and watch them when I was a kid with a black, red and white scarf tied round my wrist like everyone seemed to do back then. I have fond memories of that time and it’s a very big club.

“But for whatever reason they’re going through a torrid time at the moment and it’s not very nice to see.”

Well noone, why else do you think people call it a career killer and why do you think its so hard at for us to attract managers with good records when other managers with good records have come here and destroyed their livelihood. <laugh>

Didn' kill fat Sam's career. Most of the manager were ****/past it before we got them.

He did leave before the going got tough. He did nowt MoN, Poyet, or Di Canio didn't do. Every one of his signings have gone on to fail under multiple managers. Big Sam has always be bang average, was before and has been since.

Fat Sam side was the best for many of years. Hard to beat, decent signing to.

I know you don't rate him but he was better than the mugs you names.

Now now pal I know you wanted mcclaren <laugh>

Out of the options put forward aye. He hasn't been here though, hasn't brought in signings who became petulant as soon as he left who we now can't sell and he hasn't jumped ship first chance so we can't really discus McClaren's Sunderland performance.

Nothing to say McLaren wouldn’t have done well here, I fancied him at the time.

He’s done good jobs various places, **** jobs over.

Sometimes folk fit, we don’t know that he wouldn’t have.

I know you are only trying to wind me up ya bugger.

Big Sam left us in good shape, and he went on to rescue Crystal Palace, he was the best manager we have had for a very long time imo. but he also left under a cloud and dropped us right in it without a thought or a backward glance, scum bag. Hope Grayson does well at his next club too, he deserves it. Just where we are heading no-body knows but I would like to see all those who are saddened by this nasty turn of events stay away from the SoL until a real meaningful change is made by those in charge.

Any shouts for our new manager?

I'll go Paul Hurst at Shrewsbury. He done a good job at Grimsby and is now heading for the championship, with Shrewsbury, who were tipped to be relegated. He's highly thought of and could be the next Dyche, Howe. Maybe worth a shout.

Another one I'd like is Henk Fraser. He's currently managing Vitesse Arnhem, with Raimond Van Der Gouw as his assistant. He won Arnhem their first ever trophy, in May, and are currently towards the top of Eredivisie. He's got them solid and well organised and they play very quick on the break. Foreign managers with no experience in the championship doesn't seem to be to bad for a lot trying it.

Peter Reid, Kevin Phillips and Micky gray set up is what I want and I think it will happen

Reidy hasn't exactly retired and been completely out of the game and he is actually currently involved in a hands on way at Wigan. As for him being dinosaur, wasn't Sam described by many likewise before he came here? We need a back to basics style of manager and the football he played was the best I've seen in my lifetime. We need a passionate and club at heart pair of hands to give the fans, players a kick up the arse and get it out of this 5 year malaise. I dont see anyone beyond him right now as things stand and we just need to survive the drop this season to even begin to plan longer term. I certainly dont want some foreigner with no affinity with the region.

Was listening to talk sport on way home and it was all things Sunderland, Micky gray reckons reidy would jump at the chance to come back, said he knows the mistakes he made towards the end and loves the club, Phillips has been sounded out and gray said he would walk over broken Glass and assist for free
