That hasn't been built up by supporters. That's from the club direct.

His role coming / going is much bigger news than the Head Coach, who by the nature of our structure, should be easily replaceable.

OK I should qualify that by saying I mean in a 'news sense' ...

... I don't know many, if any, 'Speakmans' at other clubs so I don't think ours merits a press conference.

me neither but I'm struggling with what would nowadays. they're incredibly rare. usually reserved for new owners nowadays

Well it’s a waiting game I just don’t think if it was speakman leaving it would warrant a press conference of a Friday when an email and a post on social media would do

Speakman leaving absolutely wouldn't. A new Sporting Director might.

And because a Sporting Director leaving this time of year would be incredibly disruptive, and because the rumours of Speakman going have been dragging for so long, there feels a slim chance that Speakman is leaving and a new guy coming in on the same day.

The guy who originally tweeted it has just replied saying he's been told it's a load of ****e from another journo
