He could be playing European football next season and he'll be a shoo in for a bigger job in France. But Bundesliga clubs will be keeping an eye on him too. He could be somewhere like Leverkusen or Frankfurt next season. The Premier League isn't the only game in town.

completely agree with this but he has said he goes on gut instinct. He seems the kind that if he looked round the AoL he might not want to leave

Don't get the clamour for Potter, nor that he's out of our reach really. Wasn't exactly a huge success at Chelsea.
I think his failings there and success at Brighton are a large part about how well those clubs are ran rather than just his ability.

We will just ignore Ostersunds and Swansea, and the fact the Brighton team is largely the one he built then aye?

Chelsea didn’t damage his reputation at all it’s a basket case club, to suggest Brighton wasn’t down to him is absolute garbage.

Read up what he did at Ostersunds and then compare that to what we are trying to do here.

Been watching some highlights from Hellbergs current team. Trying to get a sense of what sort of style he has. Never easy to tell from highlight reels I know. Nevertheless seems like he has them pressing high up the pitch and in numbers too. Some decent counter attacking play from wide and with direct balls in behind. Really looks to load up in the box, you can see times where the ball is wide and there are 4 or 5 in the box. Does seem to play to a number 9, with a 10 and 8 going beyond. Defensively they do look wide open though, particularly spaces between defenders. As much time as it took to drink a cuppa, but as far as my analysis goes.
There’s an article about his tactics here, a decent read.

So, Still, Sable and Hellberg have been interviewed? That means they’re interested in the job, how good is it that our club interests up and coming coaches from abroad that are in their respective top flights. I hope KLD and KS get the plaudits they deserve rather than pelters for being a so called selling club.

To say it was all down to him is unrealistic.

Surprised we got permission to interview Still tbh. Must be am agredd compo package close if that is the case.

There was great recruitment but the way that team (and the 2 before) developed under him was incredible.

There’s a reason he got offered the Chelsea job, and all the mitigation you need for why that failed.

He would, were it not unrealistic, be the best and most exciting fit for us by an absolute distance.

Stoke will throw a load of money at someone and give them full power with the expectation of changing things by themselves when in reality they need wholesale changes throughout the club which starts with a director of football or someone in a similar role who brings in a plan. Neil brought in the Technical Director, which at any properly ran club is the opposite way to what should happen, and they are apparently close to being sacked also. Bonkers club.
