He wouldn’t come here, I’m certain of that.I’d support whoever came in but I’d quite like Mark Robins if we could get him.

Are we openly saying that as I have not seen this from anybody associated with the club. The only statements I have seen from the club were that we are not a club that needs to sell but will look at every case as they arise and if the deal is right for the player and the club then business may be done. The club has also stated that they are not a selling club but a club looking to build a strong competitive team capable of playing at the highest level.Just a thought on the back of De Zerbis comments around the club matching his ambitions.
Is it difficult to attract a manager when we have been so openly saying 'the model' we are working to is to sell the better players and replace them with unproven talent?
I know alot of the noise is external and we havent sold anyone of real note yet but will an ambitious manager want to join a club that is going to sell the players from under you?
In Essence we need a coach who can do the job and not spend money on the wrong players. For me personally I like the way we are going about rebuilding the club and the team and I see a bright future I think it will take a little patience. Yes we need some more established players to supplement the youth but this is not easy to do as they need to be the right character's with the right mindset and at the right time.Sure it will put a few chequebook managers off.
They aren't the people for us anyhow. We need to hire a coach who want to coach and develop players.
We need experience you say, the only experience he has is the **** show he created the last time he was here.Jemaine defoe wants the job i read, but we need experience. I reckon Di canio back he has that passion.
Rob Edwards anyone? Would we want him?

The more I’ve thought about it the more I could get on board with heckinbottom, straight talking honest bloke, they do tend to do well here, convinced it will be Still though

Class this like. We need experience so I reckon we should get Di Canio who hasn't had a management job since we sacked him and has very little experience up until then!

Life savings going on Will Still thenAtttention: Vague post alert.
It's pointless explaining the background to this, and I haven't been told anything I could post ...
... but I was asked by someone, last week, when the French season finishes.
This is someone unconnected to Sunderland but who works with a sports lawyer, he was involved in a legal dispute between Niall Quinn and Mike Ashley, Quinn lost
I was asking him if there was any gossip about the Sunderland job at the time. Now I can't shake the idea that it's Still they're after hence the insistence that Dodds is there for the season.
Daft how little things become significant, in your thoughts, isn't it![]()
Well I have some as equally unreliable info that it is Still from a Newcastle supporting SAFC coach who told my son in the Sainsburys where he works in SS.Atttention: Vague post alert.

I wonder what Dodds/Proctor record is when they've had the job - something like 3 wins in 18 games at a guess.
Rotherham wouldn't want them yet here we are - Speakman is a chancer who doesn't want to be challenged or called out on his own failings imo.
