Apologies if already mentioned but just watched 4 seasons of The Bureau. Insight into the inner workings of the French intelligence agency. Worth a watch if you can handle French sub-titles. It's on Amazon Prime/Sundance in the US, not sure where in the UK.

Yes, watched that a while ago. Recommended.

Was going to mention Lupin myself, for once it's a good modern reworking of a old classic. You do know on Netflix you can watch it in original language with English subs, would never watch anything dubbed personally.
Thanks Newland, I didn't know about the subtitles. was gonna watch it but the dubbing put me off in the trailer, now i'm all set to go. <cheers>

I'm still ploughing through Spiral on BBC Iplayer. It gets more outrageous by the episode, the police are incompetent psychopaths and the higher ups are corrupt to a man/woman. Give me Vera any day...
I’m rewatching Spiral at the moment too. Midway through series 2 - I’m never eating cabbagey cheese again, too risky.

My pleasure sir, watched another 3 episodes last night, getting really good.

I woke up early the other day and decided to watch The Old Guard, staring Charlize Theron (released on Netflix last year).

It's fairly silly, she's about 1,500 years old and part of a team of immortals tasked with getting rid of the world's baddies. The action scenes are pretty well done, but she's supposed to be staying under the radar, which isn't easy when you look like Charlize Theron and wander around dressed like Mad Max, permanently sporting a pair of Ray-Ban's.

Still, it was watchable, if you've got nothing better to do.

Marvel are doing it again with Wandavision ... 3 episodes in and its feeling like a marvel movie now ... If this is an example of their tv series direction , some good stuff will be out soon :)

The acting is excellent too. Real comedy. And after you’ve had half hour of that, it reminds you that there’s something bigger going on in this series. It’s very, very good. Loving the mystery of working out what exactly is happening.

I'm not sure it totally fits with this thread, but I watched a few different series, all with a common link, that made combined interesting viewing.

I quite like the programmes involving psychological profilers, although some of their deductive reasoning regarding suspects and crimes tests credulity, but then I saw the 'I am a killer' series on Netflix, which gives the killers version, followed by other peoples experiences, and it really flagged up how difficult such a task is in the real world.

If you get chance, watch one of the I am a Killer episodes, and make a decision in the first half on whether the killer is lying about events or not and if you would let them free, then test your decision by watching the rest of the programme.
