To avoid any dissatisfied people on Game of Thrones thread I would welcome recommendations.!!

This is what is on My List on Netflix, some of it obviously is both old and available elsewhere too:

Stranger Things
Bojack Horseman
Sherlock
Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency
Mad Men
Death Note (the anime, not the new film)
The People vs. OJ Simpson
Ozark
Narcos
Castlevania
The Defenders / Daredevil / Jessica Jones
The Thick of It
Fargo
Making a Murderer
Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways
Breaking Bad
Cowboy Bebop
The Keepers
Archer
Rick and Morty
Black Mirror
The Mist
Five Came Back
House of Cards

There's plenty others, just a selection. There's obviously tons of top quality movies and fantastic documentaries.

never seen it and people say it's brilliant so is the wire that good?

Very good. I would say though that the show really gets great from season 2 onwards. The first season is still really good though.

It's a HBO series, so you know what to expect quality-wise.

I have watched every episode of Breaking Bad binge style, I am now on with Better Call Saul, which TBH is very slow.

Sonic Highways is a brilliant series if you like good music

House of Cards is good

Tried watching it a few times and though it’s clearly good, I’ve struggled to get it consistently going (think I’m up to about episode 5 of series 1 – that’s over about three years too).

The main reason is that, ultimately, I’m not that interested in US politics, in fact, despite liking a lot of American culture, I don’t find the country, from afar, that interesting - nevermind fascinating.

The other big reason is that I ****ing loved the British original, so can’t help but parallel and, to boot, I am extremely interested in British politics.

However, I’m sure that if I get through S1, it’d clickety click though, hence why I’m slowly keepin’ on keepin’ on.

Feel free to take a look at this list, all are welcome to add to it;

Not all on Netflix <ok>

Some good stuff on there, some mentioned on here and those that are not particularly Spiral, Borgen, The Bridge.

Also, been meaning to give The Bureau a go for a while - did check a year or so ago but could't find a copy (I'm referring to the French series in case it's summat else - think it's called something like The Office of Legends for a literal translation).

Un Village Francais is pretty class if anyone likes a good WW2 series

Feel free to add to it, even if it's a thumbs up to one already listed, I add usernames next to suggestions as you often find you might have the same taste as someone else.

Band of Brothers got quite a few mentions, (haven't seen it) I was tempted to start watching it a few months back but saw 2001 and it put me off but seeing more votes for it on here and now GoT has finished for two years I'm going to have to start watching.
