S'ok, shows the level of his intellect, and I mentioned to my missus that someone online had called me gay, she said "if only, you might stop using Old Spice".

Bloke I didn't know cracked a "gay" joke at work before Xmas, just as we were going into a meeting. When he noticed I wasn't amused he came over to me & apologised, he then asked me, quite loudly, if I was gay myself. Remember he didn't know me the cheeky ****. Suck me off & I'll tell you, was my just as vocal response.

His face was a picture of homophobic embarrassment as the other three people in the room pissed their pants laughing at him.

lol

....and that would somehow be bad???

No.

That sentence was nothing more than a deliberately pre-teen response to Happy's pre-teen "everyone hates you and we all agree about it secretly" rant. Please don't take it seriously.

anyone noticed the new web address of the official website?

Not to be one of those arseholes who correct people, but it's been like that since before christmas. www.hullcityafc.net redirects to www.hullcitytigers.com. They also say HullCityTigers.com at the KC. They also refuse to refer to us as Hull City at the KC, it's always "the tigers". However, online that's a different story. They only just set up a Vine Account and called themselves "Hull City". It's almost as if the club are in an identity crisis and don't even know what to call ourselves.

I have seen with my own eyes a business card presented by AA at one of his meetings with CTWD in which he is of Hull City AFC.

Mind- boggling.

They just have no faith in the FA and why should they? What have they possibly done to ease the concerns of the fans? They've promised fan consultation, but that will be in vein (vain? vane? help!) I fear.

Although I am against the name change, I am 100% expecting it to be ratified by the FA. I have little to no faith in them to do the right thing. Please god let me be proved wrong!

Are you being a little circumspect in that? No draw-backs at all is there, keeps it trim :emoticon-0103-cool:

Can I just add for the sanity of this board

This thread should be left and the moderator should do what they can to delete any form of conversation... will that happen, no but it needs to happen.

Is there any other mechanism of linking username to a voting system that can not be manipulated by petulance

<laugh> Tickled me that. Thanks for posting it. There was a 'discussion' yesterday complaining about us doing what you say we don't.

Furthermore is it possible to get a view of how many people have logged into this forum and posted at least one within the last week who are listed primarily as Hull City fans who have also been a member for at least 28 days to give us a view of number of active users?

Other than the fact Hull Tigers sounds silly I actually wouldn't be that bothered. Who cares about a name anyway? With the rebranding required it would be a pointless waste of money though.

It's clear that Patty actually believes that West Hull is full of Kosovans and that that is somehow a bad thing. Erik is clearly a bright lad who likes winding up people like you on the Internet, and making some other people laugh

I’m not sure I like being called ‘a bright lad’ by someone who’s the same age as me. It feels like you're going to grab my cheeks, ruffle my hair, and give me 50p with the advice ‘not to spend it all on sweeties’ <laugh>

It's clear that Patty makes more of us laugh than Erik

Apologies if my jokes about subjects other than the wife and mother-in-law offend you, but you really ought to cheer up and get over the fact some people don’t share your bland, vanilla sense of humour. I’m interested to know more about the comedic tastes of the man who likes Hull Tigers and orange cards, because based on what I read on here you’re as comical as any stand-up – and I don’t mean that as a compliment.

I bet you like Stewart Lee, don’t you, you dour old twerp.

Anyway, this already-volatile thread has descended into another argument about me. Whilst I normally find that slightly arousing, in this instance it’s happened on a thread about something that’s actually worth discussing. Shall we move on?

Yes it's possible to start a 'poll' within a thread, but I don't actually know how as I've never tried. I'd imagine it's there in the options when you start a thread though.

No, at this point I don't trust you. But if we can have a sensible discussion I could learn too.

As I said earlier I have posted a full breakdown of my position on here and I will find it and re-post it. You can either look for it yourself or wait until tomorrow.

Oh, I think I am.

And I've been asked yes/no to Hull Tigers before. I answered it then, and I'll answer it now.

Yes.

I'm open to being persuaded, but not by simply calling me names.

Already done so, see post 1162.

Yes, and you were going to elaborate on that to explain why.,

And tomorrow I will, but now I'm going to bed.

Not particularly quickly, but I know on the threads list you can bring up a screen showing how many posts each poster has made in a thread. Based on what I went through at the weekend it's about 180 threads a week we get on here though.

Small point, and I don't know if it's been raised before but if City is such a lousy name to market for investment, can anybody explain why nobody seems to have asked AA how Man City attracted their current owners? Thaksin Shinawatra at the time of the takeover said:

"I'm delighted to be building this new partnership with Abu Dhabi United, who share my vision for Manchester City to join the top tier of British football brands on an international stage"

They've since invested over a billion pound in the club despite having such a bad name.
