I really don't buy that Moyes is a bad manager. Despite what some night try to make us believe he did a really good job at Everton, and had a group of players that always put in a shift for him. I think if you asked some of his old Everton players what they thought of him, most of them would speak positively.

Everton had a lower net spend than any other premier league club during Moyes reign. So Moyes clearly proved by there league finishes that he was very good at getting the best out of his players.

No he never won anything, but you need abit of luck in cup competitions, especially when facing sides that have cost 10 times the amount of money to build than his Everton side. He did get to the FA Cup Final once, we're they narrowly lost out to Chelsea, a team that spends 50 million on one player sometimes.

I for one am fully behind Moyes, as i know he will turn things around. We may not win anything this year, but we need to give him time to build his own side and bring in his own players.

Getting on his back after 6 months is plain ridiculous, we need to do as Fergie asked, and back our new manager

As a fan of another team, I will give my opinion....
When SAF retired, and Moyes was appointed, I knew that it would over for Man United in the short term.
When i say over, I mean the kind of domestic dominance you had become accustomed to in the last 20 years was over.
Purely because SAF was a great manager and Moyes isnt, and also because the squad Moyes inherited is lacking in quality all over the pitch due to ageing players (Mourinho has a similar situation with us, but to a lesser extent). I figured United would get top 4/3 for a few years and maybe grab a cup or two whilst they rebuilt.

The problem now is this.....Moyes has been so ****, that he will find it a lot harder to rebuild his squad as quickly as he needs to.
Foreign 18 year olds is what he will need to go for, and hope they come good. Also with no CL football, as well as attracting a lower class of player, it will also affect the club financially and lose you millions of plastic fans.....

It's WELL premature to write them off for top 4 at this juncture. Get ****ing real <ok>

No one is getting on Moyes' back. He is doing that to himself. Have you seen his press conferences? He blames everything but himself. He doesn't even refer to Manchester United as "we". He uses words such as "they", like he doesn't belong there. His latest rant is against the ref in a game we were never going to win.

Moyes is fast becoming disillusioned and that is starting to spread to the team. That is the biggest danger of all. People say United has a weak squad. I think it is far stronger squad that what has been achieved under Moyes. For our own sake, I hope this doesn't turn United in the next AC Milan.

Moyes is nominated for Premier League manager of month - surely unexpected even to his most ardent supporters.

On that basis, I reckon that a close contender for 'manager of the month' is Sam Allardyce<whistle><doh>

<doh>, its 1 game for god sake.

1 game?

You seem to have forgotten about the whole season

I know, right?! Fricken "its 1 game". That would be third defeat in four games. 5th in 8th, I think!

It really doesn't help that fans are fine with this slide calling for more time. This has to be the worst season by a defending champion. This is the same team that lost the league on goal difference the season before and won by 10 points last year.

The problem is NOT the team, it is purely and simply the manager!!!

As a NEWCASTLE fan, I'd advise you not to write-off United even with a massive cushion in the bank <ok>

I have said this every year for 10 years, but its completely different now.
No leaders in the squad, a manager who is way out of his depth, a lack of quality overall in the squad. When RVP and Rooney are out, they look like a proper mid table team.
Anyone thinking United are still in with a title shot is delusional at this stage, top 4 they are in with a shout, but title? No chance. They will not over haul a 14 point lead and go past Arsenal, City AND Chelsea........

Top FOUR?? You're generous! I think fifth place is only realistic hope right now.

Why would Ferguson choose this guy??

The thing that really concerns me is how Moyes keeps coming out after every bad result and saying we just unlucky and played well. Cut the bullshit out David.

Just face it,
You have an average squad needing to be improved with large funds.
Sacking Moyes and then his successors due to them not being given enough time will result in an unbalanced and unharmonious side who will be worse.
This is why I think that the majority of Man U fans are clueless about football.

But of course you don't get to brag your league position to your local team supporting friends.
You should be grateful for all that Fergie has done and accept the need for a few off seasons to rebuild the club.
