There is a lot in what you say, but you are right - it is fantasy! Four top drawer signings!! Do you honestly believe that a team who will not be in the champions League next season, will attract four top players, even if it is Man Untd?
If Fellaini is anything to go by, Moyes's judgement of top players worth £25M plus is flawed to say the least, so don't bank on end of season signings!

Are you seriously trying to tell me we'll sign no one?

    Exactly.

Like I said previously, if Moyes spends this money and we're still **** he'll deserve to be sacked. He needs to identify the players, not go public like we did last summer attempting to sign the unsignable, and get them on board.

I will have to assume that if he spends the money the players will be of the requisite quality that if he does **** up someone else can come along and work with them.

Fellaini, at the moment, looks a dud. We all know though that he looked a good player at Everton and may yet come good. We shall see, if he does turn out to be an expensive mistake then Moyes will not be alone in having made one.

as crazy as it sounds £150million is nothing. £50million a window, a player or 2 really per window to give us the 4 to 6 players we need.

I'd like Moyes and co to come out and say 'We've agreed a deal to sign Gundogan in the summer' or something like that if we dont sign anyone this window ( i still think we will mind )

It would be great if United could flex their muscles for once. If there are players lining up to sign for us as Moyes states then less talk, more action Dave. prove it!

I'm still confident Fellaini will come good. It's abit harsh to judge him based on a few months of football before his injury

With the right coach.... Ancelotti for example... You could still attract stellar names.

With Moyes it may be harder especially if you don't get top 4

No - I'm just doubtful about Moyes's judgement and that top stars will not be attracted.

    I don't share your confidence.
Prior to his injury, few would agree that Fellaini did enough to justify his transfer. Maybe this was because he was used to a more attacking role with Everton, whilst he has played more deeper midfield with Untd, or maybe his wrist injury saga affected him, but that is conjecture.

Fellaini is a top class player, make no mistake about that. He has been Evertons talisman in recent years, and has caused havoc for many top PL sides, and at times has been unplayable. He is also one of the first names on the team sheet for his country Belgium a side that have so many good players, that there no bigger than 14/1 for the World Cup with most bookies.

He has not lost all this talent over night, he's just been a little low on confidence since his move, and at the end of the day confidence is one of the most important things in football:biggrin:

Not a bad assessment Ruff <ok> I think you may be being a little harsh on CD spot, we have not had a settled defence all season and that is one area you need good understanding and continuity. The young striker you are thinking of is Will Keen, he has great potential. While we are down in the pitts with the likes of Liverpool, Everton, Newcastle and Spurs i would like us to take the oppertunity to try some our young players like Lingard, Keen and Powell. We have nothing to lose at the moment, the league has gone and Januzaj has shown that some risks pay off (you win nothing with kids though <whistle>). I was not happy with Smalling at right back a few weeks ago but he has started to grow into the role, just needs to sort his crossing out if he wants to overlap the winger. Buttner would be a good backup to a new LB, he started poor but improves the more games he gets.

The league is really weird at he moment, 20-10 a six point gap all fighting relegation, 9 Southampton all on their own little chance of relegation little chance of top four, 8-4 fighting for top four (six point gap), 3-1 fighting for title (two point gap) there is very little gap anywhere.

It has been a very unpredictable season so far, at the start none of the big teams could find any consistency, hence why Liverpool found themselves top at Xmas. If one team had really been on there game, they could have had an 8 maybe even 10 point gap by Xmas. The top 3 now have started to hit form and I don't see anyone else getting in amongst what is set to be a 3 way title battle. Looking at Arsenals fixtures, it looks set up for an Arsenal title collapse, they have easier fixtures for a while, and most of the tough ones towards the end. Of the 3 they are the lesser of 3 evils so I'd rather see them win it, but I can see them struggling against the better teams. The relegation battle should provide a fair bit of entertainment for the neutrals as no team looks certain to go down. Palace looked like certainties but Pulis is really working wonders there:biggrin:

It was Lingard I was thinking of but Keane is another.

Say we do get Mata. That's midfield sorted for now, he has all the guile and tempo we need. Ideal.

Still need a centre half and left back for me.
