Well I could ask how many other top teams need a clear injection of new players as frequently mentioned on these forums? I constantly hear that our defence is crap, our midfield is crap and our wingers are crap, the strikers other than welbeck seem to be approved of but our two first choice strikers have not been injured for periods. So what was moyes supposed to do fix all the problems ferguson had not adressed properly, bring in 6 or 7 new players which hasnt really worked for spurs, ultimatly moyes isnt perfect but neither is any manager, ultimatly no one would get it right straight away let alone trying to do so with a side 2 injuries away from real issues aka rvp and rooney

It's plain for all to see who are the plastic glory supporters on here. Moyes needs at least 3 transfer windows to improve the Utd squad and clear out the likes Nani, Anderson, Young, rio, Fabio, cleverly, smalling, Evans, Valencia, Evra etc.

All of the above mentioned are either over rated average players, or players well past their prime.

A large problem is also the fact that Rooney's contract runs out next year and its not certain if he will stay.

He, along with De Ghea, have been the only two top quality consistent performers.

Not sure how they replace Rooney and can see him going to Chelsea.

What's your honest opinion on Moyes Ruff? All his fault? Obviously he should be doing better but surely there are other factors at play here....

Been having this discussion elsewhere, I genuinely can't be bothered to go through it all again.

All I will say though is this, for those so clueless that they don't know what happened when Busby retired and are talking of Fergie returning and interim managers, be careful what you wish for.

unless the right man, Klopp, is guaranteed in place as replacement then we must stick with Moyes, who so far is working with the bare bones of another mans squad. Only two men out there are up to it and both are working in Germany and one is sadly going nowhere. Some of the names bandied about are ridiculous.

As a fan of another team, I will give my opinion....
When SAF retired, and Moyes was appointed, I knew that it would over for Man United in the short term.
When i say over, I mean the kind of domestic dominance you had become accustomed to in the last 20 years was over.
Purely because SAF was a great manager and Moyes isnt, and also because the squad Moyes inherited is lacking in quality all over the pitch due to ageing players (Mourinho has a similar situation with us, but to a lesser extent). I figured United would get top 4/3 for a few years and maybe grab a cup or two whilst they rebuilt.

The problem now is this.....Moyes has been so ****, that he will find it a lot harder to rebuild his squad as quickly as he needs to.
Foreign 18 year olds is what he will need to go for, and hope they come good. Also with no CL football, as well as attracting a lower class of player, it will also affect the club financially and lose you millions of plastic fans.....

Moyes is undoubtedly on thin ice but top level candidates are few and far between at the moment. He is working with someone elses squad too so unfair to judge quite yet surely. Maybe it was just always going to be mission impossible being the first man in after Fergie but no way is the blame ENTIRELY on Moyes shoulders. He hasn't helped himself no doubt but he's also been left out to dry to a certain extent too....plus having Fergie still looming over him was never going to help if results weren't perfect.

For me the biggest issue for Moyes is that he hasn't put his own stamp on things. What exactly is he trying to work towards? Young team? Passing team? Physical team? At least if he'd set out a target or a plan the fans could say "well he needs time to work towards x,y or z". Over time he then gets judged on that rather than being judged against the previous regime constantly.

    Ah right.

Some is on Facebook and some on what's app. The what's app stuff in on my phone, which I'm not currently using. I'll be able to post chapter and verse but it'll have to be tomorrow when I'm on laptop.

I'm currently on I pad. ****ing technology, eh?

  14. Fair enough. I'm not bothered to be honest, I agree with Billy. I am in a minority that thinks given time, Moyes will turn it around, its just going take longer than anticipated. However, like us with Woy, the result are one thing but it is a style of football that is the real issue.

It's pretty lame to class everyone that thinks Moyes is not up to the job as "plastic". Such generalization is dangerous. I do not have to agree with the manager to be a true fan. That is fallacy!

Yeah, I am plastic - whatever that means.

Another loss again today which makes it 5 in 7 games. I am very happy that "true" fans are completely Ok with this type of form. If hating what we have become under Mr. Moyes makes me a plastic, then I would rather stay a plastic and hope others join me until Manchester United returns to where we need to be.

    This.

Big Sam always maintained he could do a good job if he was Real Madrid Manager... Man Utd are only a slightly smaller club.

Seems to me,if Alex had retired he should have stayed away from Uniteds games or watched them on the box. Moyes has got to be looking over his shoulder all the time.....and that's not fair!
