Once where Warriors. A Clockwork Orange The Deer Hunter. The Treasure of Sierra Madre. Once upon time in the West.
Id love to name a really cultured film as my favourite, but my favourite is Taken. seen it about 15 times , cheesy as **** but i love it.
Blade Runner Local Hero Excalibur The Princess Bride Oldboy (the 2003 Park Chan-Wook one, not the tragically poor remake)
It’s off at a bit of a tangent, but this reminds me of the trend a few years ago for alternatively sub titled bits of the scene from ‘Downfall’ with Hitler and his generals. Some of them were genuinely funny, but if you understood what they were actually saying rather than just reading the made-up translation it was really distracting.
Odd that, there was a question on 'The Chase' tonight about Cool Hand Luke....Which actor won an Oscar for best supporting actor for his part in Cool Hand Luke?
Lots of people saying Balde Runner. I only watched this for the first time last year and was very underwhelmed
Susan George was in a odd film with Vanessa Redgrave and Cliff Robertson about a three way love triangle in a crappy seaside hotel called 'Out of Season'. Its a crap film, almost a waste of celluloid, but worth watching for Miss George and her raincoat!
