THANK YOU, someone that talks sense. Fryatt scores, Simpson doesn't. Fryatt causes defences and teams damage. Simpson causes fans damage from his dreadful shots wildly shot into the stands. I may be a bit on fair on him but lets be honest he's not good enough.

I disagree. Homer started off life with us in a piss poor side last season, it was only as we looked to bring in reinforcements his form improved. I like him, I think there's a good footballer there, he has had good goal returns at this level before with QPR, and I think he'll do it again. He needs to be played in a settled side straight up the middle. Good luck Homer <ok> our loss will be Millwalls gain I reckon.

i just think he misses the smoke.

Another bit of the problem was that when he first got here we often played 4-5-1 with him as the 1 - a thankless task that probably knocked his confidence.

Shame to see him go, but we're now starting to get a bit top heavy with strikers.

He'll do alright with a fresh start wherever that is.

I think Simpson may well become a good striker, but all this talk about him been dropped soon as he hit form is rubbish he had 2 lucky/good games last season and that was it and I think that was more down to Stewart then Simpson

Fryatt scored 9 goals in 23 appearances last season, he is by far our best striker and I'd have him in the team every week. We've tried pairing the two but the partnership has evident problems.

In my opinion Aaron McLean or Martyn Waghorn (who's coming in on loan today/tomorrow) can form a far more productive partnership with Fryatt.

I'm not knocking Fryatt, I'm just defending Simpson who IMO is being treat a little bit unfairly.

Before the season started, nearly everyone agreed that Simpson was good and should start alongside Fryatt. He's played one full game and a couple of sub appearances since then where he missed chances, but in the very same games as Fryatt missed equally good chances.

The games which Simpson seems to have been judged on are ones where he was no worse than Fryatt, and yet he is still the first name on the team sheet. I'm willing to accept NP's judgement that Fryatt is worth starting every game, but you can't do that and kick Simpson out at the same time, when they've both played equally poorly at the same times this season.

No just a striker. He played rw for us once or twice but was ****e. He's the quick kind of forward to get in behind a defence just hasn't seemed to find his feet yet.

By the way tigers are a million times harder than lions, lions are like little chavs who have to hunt in packs coz they're pussies and can't fight alone <ok>

You sure? One of them's hard and it sure as **** isn't the tiger! <ok>

When Simpson finally hit form he was dropped, we haven't really seen him since.

All seems a bit strange, but I definitely wouldn't get rid.

He didn't hit form, he just scored 4 in two games, then did nothing.

If scoring 4 goals in 2 games isn't 'form' then what the **** is? I'd love any of our current strikers to look like scoring 2 a game. He scored because he was played up front with another striker and not as a lone striker.

He wasn't dropped as soon as he hit form?! He was dropped because he is rubbish. 3 of the 4 goals where tap ins, and 1 was a penalty.
Fryatt is 100x better and with Waghorn we will be feared again.
