I don't see any evidence that Slot didn't want him - he just isn't playing well enough. It's not just a few games, he's been the same all season and I think Slot has given him plenty of chances to find his form and it just isn't happening for him.
Salah's comments suggest that he thinks he should be automatically picked based on his (admittedly vast) contribution to our recent success, but we all know it doesn't work like that. You get picked for what you can do now, not for what you did then. There's no room for a passenger, no matter how venerable, if your form is off you risk losing your place no matter who you are or what you've done.
Being dropped by the manager is not being "thrown under the bus by the club" and in saying that he just comes across as childish and petulant. And it's sad, because it will tarnish his reputation amongst many fans.
