I don't see any evidence that Slot didn't want him - he just isn't playing well enough. It's not just a few games, he's been the same all season and I think Slot has given him plenty of chances to find his form and it just isn't happening for him.
Salah's comments suggest that he thinks he should be automatically picked based on his (admittedly vast) contribution to our recent success, but we all know it doesn't work like that. You get picked for what you can do now, not for what you did then. There's no room for a passenger, no matter how venerable, if your form is off you risk losing your place no matter who you are or what you've done.
Being dropped by the manager is not being "thrown under the bus by the club" and in saying that he just comes across as childish and petulant. And it's sad, because it will tarnish his reputation amongst many fans.
Aye, agree with all that. Genuinely not sure how Salah thought he was going to win anything by doing this publicly...surely after being here this long (any club really) the reaction would be" player never bigger than club "from everyone... Even people not happy with Slot.

How far behind Rush is Mo now?

just imagine how good Rush was.

Stats on goals stand for themselves so Mo will always have a place up there….best PL player that I’ve seen appear for us is, hands down, Suarez.

but many amazing players preceded the PL and I’m lucky/unlucky enough to have see some of them live. So I’ll always add context to what Mo has done for us but make no mistake, he has delivered and he should get some kind of appreciation for it. Sending him packing without a farewell does not seem right, regardless of his ego rant….although nobody knows the part he is playing in this, so perhaps it’s impossible.

If it’s farewell, it’s farewell and we move on. Mo becomes a not insignificant chapter in our illustrious history. Next.

Would be a huge shame if he had already played his last game. Whatever happens, this shouldn’t tarnish what he has done for the club. He’s conducted himself brilliantly and been a huge role model for kids around the world and he’s been our best player behind Gerrard in Prem Era when it comes to longevity as well.

We wouldn’t have won what we had won without him and when he does finally leave - he deserves to leave with a huge applause.

He is 35 behind Roger Hunt in second 96 off Rush. I didnt realise he had passed Aguero as top foriegn goal scorer in the premier league. Always thought Mo was all about records so there is not many really left in reach he is 18 goals behind Rooney and 23 behind Kane so maybe he has decided its time to move on.

The vindictive verbal diarrhoea coming from Spit the Bootle Yard Dog is embarrassing.
He sounded embarrassed and defensive last night that he'd been personally called out.

If he and Neville had not gone full sky/yank soundbite a day a few years back it wouldn't sound so false coming from him.

The whole thing is pathetic, Sky had 'Coming up: Slot and Carragher interviews'

As if he's on the ****ing board or something <doh>

Salah today broke the prem record for most goal involvements for a single club - 277 (188 goals and 89 assists) breaking Rooney record for United.
