Salah's first season when he set the PL record:

Karius
Trent - Matip - Lovren - Moreno
Hendo - Coutinho - Can
Salah - Firmino - Mane
We swapped van Dijk for Coutinho and Robertson took over from Moreno, but players like Clyne, Klavan, Solanke and Sturridge (the not-so-good version) were still around. It's a bit better but still a work in progress and still a score-more-than-we-concede side.

oddly some managers practice the concede less than we score approach.

Such notables as conte, mourinho and tuchel defend first and foremost.

It's a boring model, but it can work. If you don't concede and the other team is getting frustrated they can eventually make a mistake and allow you to score.

There is something very satisfying when you see a league table and have a ridiculously good defensive record though. Maybe that’s from growing up and playing defence in my youth

What was the old saying? a good attack will win you guys but a good defence will win you the title?

what did for me was cheslea destroying us and going 1-0 up and tuchel jumping up and telling his side to stop attacking.

that year was vvd? we were there to be absolutely hammered and the game ended 1-0.

it.might work a bit but over the long run you won't succeed imo.

you have to have balance.

Freudian slip?
I presume you mean games, but it makes no sense. Win enough games and you win titles.
1-0 or 4-3, still 3 points.

Anybody still think giving Mo his new contract was wrong?
For the record I was all for it.

Absolutely. But if he can continue from Sunday and sustain a decent level of form for at least the remainder of the season then he may change my mind. One quality performance since January 2022 isn't enough

Yes. One year salary alone could pay the transfer fee for a decent midfielder... And one swallow alone doesn't make a wife.

Reactions: Zanjinho
For me, it wasn't about whether or not he was worth it, it was the risk inherent in chucking our wage structure out of the window.
Only time will tell if it has a detrimental effect or not.

Salah 250 goals for LFC yesterday joining 2 legendary players in Rush and Hunt.

Like most modern players think will only really be fully appreciated when he’s no longer here but absolute star of a player over the last 8 years and can easily put himself alongside up there with Gerrard as our best player of the last 30 years and probably top 10 of all time.
