2 goals today taken him past Robbie Fowler in terms of Prem goal scorers in 60 less games. 6th on all time league list

129 Salah
128 Fowler
120 Gerrard
118 Owen
90 Mane

Already most European goals

42 Salah
41 Gerrard
26 Mane
22 Owen

Has been the absolute star of a klopp era side that have won every trophy possible in the League, Champ League, Fa cup, league cup, super cup, club World Cup and community shield.

I think most will admit he’s never been the favourite player out of the famous front 3 for one reason or another, mane work rate and infectious attitude endeared some to him. Bobbys skill and link up won many over.

Heck, a lot won’t even put him alongside Suarez & Torres in terms of actual ability.

Maybe we’ll appreciate him more when he’s gone, but the question is, is there any argument that he’s not our greatest forward in the Prem era?

is this a prem only theatre?

cos the greatest is sat in the stands each week watching and has a stand named after him.

Suarez is without doubt the most talented player I've seen at our club, he'd have been phenomenal under Klopp in that central role.

Same for 'the greatest midfield in the world'... Gerrard, Alonso and Mascherano. Can you imagine that three behind Mane, Suarez and Salah :emoticon-0146-punch

Just on the front three of Salah, Mané and Firmino, Firmino has always been my favourite mostly because of his unselfishness which is rare. He's a true team player which is rare. He plays football with a big smile like he loves every minute of what he's doing which is rare. But for sheer clinicality it has to be Salah.

Of all those listed, it's hard to see past Fowler though.

Loved Fowler, and always will. But he was a great player for the time period, I think he'd struggle nowadays. Plus, it was always a Fowler & Mcmanaman combi rather than individuals

Their partnership was brilliant, you're right. Still doesn't take away from Fowler being the best natural goalscorer we've ever had.

Both Salah and Suarez had seasons where they could be counted amongst the very best in the world (if not the best). It's a toss up...

In Suarez's big favour: whereas Salah has been world class, Suarez made his ordinary teammates look world class. Remember S and S? The other S was Studge! People thought he was an expert dangerous talent, and he was when he had Suarez alongside him opening up defences for him.

Salah doesn't do that, he doesn't make everyone around him look better when he plays. (Today the closest we have that does that is Firmino)

In Salah's favour, he is a great diplomat for the sport. He is a model footballer. Suarez is just a cheeky ****.

It was actually S, S & S...

Suarez, Studge & Sterling

don't agree with this at all.

Please go check salah's assist for LFC.

54 in the prem alone in 218 appearances with 131 goals.

for a guy not making everyone look better around him thats a ****ing **** tonne of assists.

For the record bobby firmino has 50 assists in the prem for us. Robertson is on 55 and trent is on 47.

by contrast mane had only 38 assists.

for the record suarez had 110 games, 69 goals and 23 assists.

thank about this. 218 games. 185 goal involvements = 1.17 games per gaol involvement

Suarez = 1.19 games per gaol involvement over half the games

salah is exceptional.
Suarez was exceptional for us and at barca and at atletico.

Don't need to knock one to appreciate the other do we?

Think that does the others a bit of a disservice. Suarez had been there a year already but things really picked up when Sturridge and Coutinho arrived, followed by Sterling breaking through shortly after. We then had 18 months of them playing really together. Then Suarez left, Sturridge became perma-injured again and Sterling started looking elsewhere. And we bought Balotelli.

So not to downplay Suarez's role or talent, but it's not like the others didn't contribute. It was a great partnership/trio. Plus also Henderson and Gerrard's final hurrah.
