Ah well it's a shame he's Barmby's player until january
Koren did look your best player followed by Stewart whos end product is lacking. Koren always scores against us
King did a good job containing your midfield for the majority of the game but a great strike at the end was thd difference. You have a base of a very good squad if you can add to it you could go all the way
We battered you all game, our wide players lacked in end product at times if they'd not have got unlucky could have been 3 or 4
I think we should still take credit from the way we defended for the rest of the 2nd half and I don't think you can take that away from us or ignore the work that we did in those minutes. Admittedly, it was academic in the end but we can still take heart from the resilience we showed.
It certainly seemed that Nigel gave them instructions to close down Koren becasue for 43 minutes we did a good job on him and (I think it was Andy King mainly) kept touch tight trying to deny him space. You also have to factor in the amount of running and chasing and harrying we did in the 2nd half so our players would have been tired at the end and so there might have been just a small lapse in concentration which allowed Koren to get the shot away. You probably should take credit for that because you passed the ball well and moved it around to keep us chasing and tiring us out which, for me, was a factor in you scoring the late goal.
Also, Koren did well and took it first time so there was no time to close it down. But I think it's harsh to say both that our players are too **** to follow instructions because for 88 minutes they followed those instructions well and that our manager was too **** to think of those instructions because he is the one who came up with our game plan which did stop him for 88 minutes and he can't legislate for the one bit of ball watching that allowed Koren the space to shoot. I would say that it's simply a defensive mistake that all teams make and you're defence and every other defence will have moments where they make mistakes but I feel that, on the whole, we defended very well in that game and I don't think you can overlook that.
Liam Rosenior isn't getting enough credit for the winning goal. Hos pass into the space ahead of Koren was magnificent.
This is turning out to be a long wind up thread for a narrow home win against 10 men.
I will of course be referring back to it after we have stuffed you at the King Power Stadium---oh and how many of Fryatts goals have come from the penalty spot?
Dont think we can be bitter, but you haveto admit it was a far from convincing win seeming you were against 10-men for an hour, but optimistic from our PoV that we didnt just fold.
Congrats on the 3 points tho, credit where its due.
I think in a way he was complimenting us. We don;t want that tool Andy King coming on here for round 2. We've just got him to zip it.
I'm assuming you are referring to AKCJ and not THE Andy king?
If you think Bamba touched him i suggest you follow your own advise

You seem to ignore the massive difference in wages, costs and experience between our two squads when you talk of convincing.
If I were you I would concentrate on why a squad with an average wage bill as high as yours and assembled at an acquisition cost as high as yours, isn't several points clear at the top, rather than telling us our victory wasn't convincing.
It wasn't a dive! It should have been another penalty!
