I don’t like him...because he’s not ours anymore If he returned I’d like him If he doesn’t I’ll keep disliking him I’m a simple soul
It might have had some affect I guess if true, but at the end of the day it's the players that either win or lose not the manager. Even if he had been approached, the players wouldn't know that, so can't see it would have had much effect if any.
Confirmed at Everton. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/may/31/everton-confirm-marco-silva-as-new-manager
Marco Silva to Everton, Andy Robertson to Liverpool, Harry to Leicester and who knows where.... we can make them but can't keep them...
The guy's a genius, first he gets a team relegated then he gets sacked after a few months and now he walks into a fat 3 year contract, he's going to have to deliver eventually.
I think he did an excellent job with both us and Watford. Almost kept us up when it looked likely we'd be gone by March and Watford were 8th when they sacked him.
He did well with us but ultimately failed when it counted, again with Watford he started well but lost his way, maybe he's been a victim of his own early successes but eventually he's going to have to see one of these jobs through.
To be fair you can't ignore the work he did at his three previous jobs. Just because they weren't here I think people seem to forget he was excellent at every club he was at before us.
Alardyce got them to 8th. Realistically he can only get them to 7th. Martinez gave them sexy football then they didn't want that. Sam gave them hard to beat football they don't want that. They want to win things. theres **** all chance of that.
He brought in Evandro and Grosicki neither of whom were great buys. The others were loans who were bothered until the end of the season when they wanted to avoid injury. The away record was not good. Like Slutsky then?
I wouldn't have sacked Slutsky you can find hundreds of quotes saying that, so unsure what your point is? He would of kept us up and I would of really enjoyed the football.
To stay up I think you need a better defence. A typical trait of a relegation team is they shed goals when they really have to keep it tight.
Everton managed to win 22-0 during Marco's first match as manager... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44835279
