Unable to give us an away win and unable to beat the now twice relegated Sunderland at home leaves a huge ? for me, not to mention being in charge of our biggest defeat in the prem. He has done nowt so far. Big Sam or Silva? Big Sam every time for me.

Wasn't it our biggest ever home defeat?

I think he'll be a success at Everton - they can't expect much more than 7th so they'll be competing against Leicester & Newcastle next season - so if he has a steady first season I think they're a good fit - Silva will provide better footabll than Big Sam, we know he's capable of that.

It was the players who blew it vs Sunderland not Silva

Watford was his biggest mistake - I thought and said the same at the time - it's the last club you sign for if you fancy more than 6 months as manager & they've always struck me as dodgy dealers - first the Italian/Spanish 'feeder' clubs and now tapping up Silva whilst with us.

In conclusion - the jury is still out - but he has a great opportunity now

It was the playersgtf

I was at Southampton and he sat back and didn't go for it. They were there for the taking. Cowardly display orchestrated by the manager.
He bottled it.

Unlikely, the Watford contract wasn't leaked and staying up would have won him kudos and bagaining leverage
Not sure why whether it was leaked or not is relevant? (Have I missed the point)
Yes he would have gained leverage if we’d stayed up, but at that point was it possible that it could have been at the expense of Watford (I genuinely can’t remember)
For what it’s worth I always thought that he knew he was going and he just subconsciously switched off

In my opinion he had a bunch of players playing well above themselves for a long time an in the end it all just ran out of steam , only so long you can polish a turd . He gave us a glimmer of hope when there wasn't any around Christmas . On another thread you have people saying why Bruce was ****e .not sure what people want from a manager to hold them in any sort of esteem when they leave .

He didn't play Huddleston at the end dj. It was bizarre.

Too negative when he shoulda gone for it. Left Abel on the bench.

His substitutions, all three of them, could be considered defensive. Only Markus Henriksen for Evandro could be argued as a like-for-like; Tom Huddlestone taking the place of Kamil Grosicki and Michael Dawson coming on for Lazar Markovic were both very conservative moves. Silva has worked miracles since his arrival at the KCOM stadium, but was he right to settle so wilfully for a solitary point?

Swansea City's draw at Manchester United on Sunday saw the gap restored to just two points between the Tigers and the Swans. Good news for Hull, according to some. The same margin with one less game would appear, on the face of it, to be a successful week for Hull City. However, that's a little too simplistic for my liking, and with just three games to go in the Premier League now, one really must look to each club's remaining fixtures.

This coming weekend, Hull City play host to already relegated Sunderland, whilst Swansea see the visit of Everton. The Black Cats present a real potential banana skin for Hull City, but even if one ignores that, and supposes that everything goes to plan for the Tigers, they will find themselves five points clear of Paul Clement's side, with final fixtures away to Crystal Palace and at home to Tottenham. Meanwhile, the Swans head to Sunderland before a home game against West Brom on the final day.

The bookies still make Hull City strong favourites to retain their Premier League status. I cannot be so sure. The Swans have a great chance of winning their final two games, whilst one cannot rule out the possibility of them taking something at home to an Everton side who have drawn to West Ham and lost to Chelsea in their most recent outings. If Swansea are to reach 38 or even 39 points, Hull City will have to beat either Crystal Palace or Tottenham, as well as Sunderland, to keep their heads above the water.

Silva seemed to have a say in which players were brought in though, and his legacy of Evandro and Grosicki doesn't look good. Also he was looking to leave and find somewhere else even before the season was ended, that could have been detrimental.

There was a joke on the Watford forum where someone said they shouldn't hate Silva but should actually give him a hero's welcome if he returns with another team. The reasoning being that he contributed to them keeping up the last two seasons....

Marco and the players bottled it in the Sunderland game, we really should have won it and then the game against Palarse would have been a different scenario. But I guess in reality the damage had been done earlier on, Marco was just left with too much to do, and we just fell short of the winning post.

If the Everton tweet is true and the negotiations took place before the Sunderland match and the players knew he was going then there could be a completely different explanation for that performance. I wonder if the contract Everton allegedly have is dated?

Watford have said that Silva's contract allowed him to speak to other clubs after our relegation was confirmed and they didn't speak to him until after it was.
