'The 63-year-old described himself as being ‘disgusted’ with his treatment but he still received a severance package of more than £5million.'

For anyone on day release from the the funny farm, he's not really disgusted, in fact he'll be quite pleased. Along with all the other millions he's made from football this windfall should help pay for the decent holiday he's been promising himself for several weeks. What a horrible job it must be having to manage a football club.

Who do these people think they are fooling?

The reporter mentions 'cruelly' on the day the World Cup squad was announced.

Really - it's the ****er who was trying to get around transfer rules, trying to get another few hundred grand on top of the enormous salary he was earning, on top of the gargantuan redundancy packages he's trousered. Cruel my arse.

'Cruelly' is perhaps more appropriate to Oxlade Chamberlain or Alves getting injured and missing out on respective selection, even though they'll have enough dosh to distract them during June.

I held him high regard when he was here but with every passing week that regard is fading.

He has zero loyalty and has actually failed twice in two attempts in England.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; if he was English and had been sacked by Watford after a shocking set of results on the back of being relegated ( yes I know the circumstances were difficult) with us no ****er would go near him.

Maybe Barnsley.

I would! I know he has been naughty and a mercenary, but he still has some attractions and I still would!

Yep, someone's son, husband, father etc.

The media love some people but more important are the results and I always felt Silva still had to prove himself still in this country.

Unable to give us an away win and unable to beat the now twice relegated Sunderland at home leaves a huge ? for me, not to mention being in charge of our biggest defeat in the prem. He has done nowt so far. Big Sam or Silva? Big Sam every time for me.

Whilst I agree with you, if he was an English manager he likely wouldn't have the glittery CV prior to his stint in England.
