Put it this - i rather have Ox playing instead of relying on Milner or Woodburn, or shifting Firmino out wide. If he is to play in CM, I rather have him in than Lucas or Milner and at times, Gini. What he will bring is direct running - he dribbles and beats his man for fun.
Looks like someone's been actually watching him play rather than have fantastical thoughts of what he possibly could do. I think people are expecting Klopp to produce miracles here. People need to get a little perspective.
I like that he turned down a pay rise at Arsenal to come with us for less £££ p/week. I like that he turned down Chelsea who pretty much guarantee silverware. Think we should all be happy that we got a decent player who works hard and wants to play for us.
Yeah but that's playing under Wenger. Harsh to judge anyone worth his dodgy tactics te last few years
Just let it be and see. For me he's like a blank slate since his Arsenal career was just a catalogue of mismanagement and injuries He's a player with big potential I mean Chelsea and us wanted him, so he's not a bag of ****e is he. Hopefully he maximises what he's got with Klopp's help and the good team ethos around him. It's one of the best places to try and do that
Not sure you can give ox an endorsement just because we wanted him. We tried to get barkley and drinky to who are bang average
lets just ignore opinions and read this For Klopp, the capture of the 24-year-old marks a happy end to a three-year interest in the player, dating back to the Champions League when his Borussia Dortmund side beat Arsenal 2-0. “He came on as a sub and made a big impact,” said Klopp. “He immediately stood out because of his pace and skills and his attitude in such a big game for a young player. “I remember him chasing back to make a brilliant challenge on Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the box to save a certain goal. “We won that game but lost the return match at Arsenal when he started and played well. I think he hit the post. “Since then I’ve followed him and when I heard it may be possible to sign him I didn’t think twice.” The midfielder spoke with the defending champions but it is understood he did not receive the guarantees he was seeking about the role he would be handed, with Oxlade-Chamberlain seeing himself as a central midfielder rather than a wing-back. “I hear a lot of talk about positions but let’s talk about the player; he is someone with really good abilities who always gives everything for his team,” said Klopp. “A player that is positive and willing to take risks to try to make things happen. “He may still be young but he has a lot of experience. Already he is a very good player and he has the mentality and desire to get even better – that excites me.” Really..... thats all we need to hear. Klopp wanted him, the player will work hard and is a positive player who will supply out forwards.... job done
