Other than money, it's a bad decision. Move to a different country to sit on a bench, or stay and develop by playing regularly and helping the team move up the divisions. Now, there's no guarantees we'll go up and certainly none that we'll go up to the Prem any time soon, but we're talking about his development not our progress as a club. He, personally, continues to do well and the offers will come in. Disappear off the radar in Bordeaux for a while and...?
Bordeaux are going through a bit of a slump, at the moment. I'd imagine he'll get game time towards the end of the season. It's up to him to make his mark. We've seen he only needs one chance to bury it, I believe he's got every chance of doing alright there.Other than money, it's a bad decision. That's incredible. You would rather Josh be a failure in his career, over our club making millions because he's successful?
In spite of his actions you talk about... his actions have shot us up near the top of the table, without his goals we'd be sat outside the play-offs, looking in. We should be very grateful, to Josh.
As for you saying you rate him as a much, much higher player, than me. I have no idea why you would think that, I'm on here predicting that he will be successful, in France, when everybody else is doubting him.
Rubbish, mate.We have to trust Ross that he never seen something in him. He's the one working with him every day. Young form doesn't really mean anything, I always remember Ryan Noble who was supposed to be as deadly as Kevin Phillips. He's struggling to get a game at Seaham Red Star, now.

The comments you make are incompatible, (so different in nature as to be incapable of coexisting), thats why.
Rubbish, mate.
Ryan Noble did have a reputation, what's your point?
You haven't made it very well.I've made it, end of story.
Noble failed at every loan club. Was sent to lower league teams iirc and just couldn't cut it - yet at our "reserve" level he would score goals for fun (Heard rumours he was a bit of a dick too and couldn't get on with people)You haven't made it very well.
Ryan Noble proved nothing, ultimately he wasn't good enough. Josh Maja has proved himself by banging them in, in professional football.

I've never mentioned Ryan Noble, and have no intention of doing so, so just talk amongst yourselves for a bit, i'm off,![]()

Dunno like Sid, fair play to the lad for going on a bit of an adventure, reckon Bordeaux would be a great place to live. The move could give him the challenges that are the making of him and he will earn well too. He might sink without a trace like but I can see some merit in it for him personally! Anyway, he's away so good luck and see you later from me JoshOther than money, it's a bad decision. Just read that Maja was on under 1K a week at Sunderland but now earns around 14K a week at Bordeaux (according to a French paper). All is forgiven Josh!
Our offer wasn't for under 1k a week, I think it was around 7k a week with an additional increase if we got promoted.
Still, 14k a week is still double what we offered. But what could he have got if he'd stayed an extra season and proven himself in the championship?

Our offer was £4,800 was it not?
Them figures released today in L’Equipe show him on 56k month, and it does make it understandable why he’s gone for sure.
It also reveals that we are paying 60% of Kobe’s salary while he’s at Strasbourg, which is 60k a month or so.
Donald denies this and claims we are paying Kone nowt.
