Thats fine, all i'm saying is 'i think he's rank average', and lucky to be a prem player....

I suppose it depends on which period of the season we're talking about.

Colback had an average season, a run of ineffective matches but a good finish ........ many want to keep him.

Bardsley had an average season, some real highlights and a run of effective matches but a poor finish ....... not many protested when he went.

Not bothered myself, he is a decent player but not creative enough for me, we have Catts and Bridcutt for that job, what we need is creative players going forward. We have lost Ki who was decent last season going forward and Gardner who was a goal scoring midfielder. We need to sign a player like Banega who is creative and can pull the strings.

I think long term this is a good move for us, its probably a good move for Colback too as he would not be getting first team football with us next season. I suspect he would be 3rd choice behind Catts and Bridcutt or he would be asked to cover lb. The most annoying thing is not getting a fee for him.

See my post on the Wickham topic. Players get it far too easy. Clubs should be much tougher with them when it comes to securing contracts and compensation when players move to new clubs. Players get very well paid, most clubs are losing money so I have no sympathy for players but a lot of sympathy for the clubs.

It'll be worth it so see the Mags backtracking and getting all excited about making a signing.

MON tried to get Colback to sign, ages ago, but he had no intention .......... just biding his time for a move.

He held out for his dream of playing under Alan Pardew <ok>

Well as shown in the games he didn't start toward the end of the season, he is not really required and he knew that. Just looking forward to the lovely warm reception he will get next season. Or will he feign an injury so he doesn't start at the SOL.
