Pretty sure it's piss take but funny how many people are talking about it now. Never rated him myself but 18 goals says he'd be a good addition. With talk of Wigan bidding £4 million I think we'd be out the running, don't know why they'd want him though, really doesn't match Martinez's philosophy.
18 goals match any managers philosophy, thats the point of the game - score goals and win games.
As a striker he is pretty much an all round player, as are Lambert and Holt and there dioing great up there.
I think he has improved this season from what I have seen of him, great finish against Chelsea.
Fingers crossed he can't control the ball tommorow like but I have a feeling he might be on the scoresheet.
I heard yesterday that we were after Becchio with McLean and cash going the other way.
Disagree, Becchio has fairly poor ability on the ball, passing and striking a ball cleanly. He has scored a lot of goals but I don't think a side like Swansea would want him as he doesn't have the technical ability to allow them to play their natural game.
Where do Swansea come into the picture?
Just because Geo said team's philosophies don't matter if a player is prolific and I was giving an example of a team with a strong philosophy who I don't think would take on anyone purely because they could score goals.
Ah, I get it now. Bit slow up the uptake there.
According to the YEP Warnock is considering leaving Becchio out as he is on 4 yellows and would get an automatic suspension if he gets a 5th tomorrow. After Jan 1st 5 cards is not an automatic. Doesn't sound very plausible.
