Will have to agree to differ Dai and Isaw as I thought Declan was trying to pick out anyone (not many I know) we had in the box. He looked up and tried to measure his crosses. Jazz was more hit and hope and scuffed one so badly he turned his ankle. But what I'm saying is that at least they got forward first half and it's not their fault they had little to target. QPR's change of tactics by pushing up second half put a stop to most of that as Bristol Rovers did in the cup.
Our approach was slow there should have been plenty of time for people to get forward but apart from Fred and Pilks there was hardly anyone there. Immers was played way too deep and his runs into the box were severely missed. Probably his worst game since coming to us.
Agreed on Whitts. I suspect Huws has been signed as his replacement. The short term loss of O'Keefe will have a big effect as little energy in the middle of the park and, as we saw in the latter part of last season, he managed to get into the box as well and scored a couple.
Tomorrow night will either confirm our worst fears or give us a glimmer of hope. However, Blackburn are hardly likely to attack and we will see a severe case of bus parking. With that in mind our best chance will be set pieces and I would have Morrison on from the start as he is a much greater goal threat in those circumstances. Who to drop? If we stay at 5 at the back then Manga who is always an accident waiting to happen. If we go to 4 then Peltier to rb for Jazz and Morrison in for Manga.
That would allow either Huws to start (or even Gunnar) and go 4 - 3 - 3 with Immers pushing forward with Pilks/Fred and Huws/Ralls and then Whitts or Gunnar in the middle. Or start with Noonie to give a bit of pace.
