Scupper that. Never really rated him. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/3..._the_day&ns_source=facebook&ns_linkname=sport
Like I said "I would expect him to chose Reading due to the Stam/Man U link and the opportunity to learn from a great defender like Stam as opposed to..........." No surprise there. I would have made the same decision - about 40 years ago. Wonder who else is lined up?
Window shuts in a week so City better hurry up if they are to land the supplemental players urgently required. No emergency loan window this season.
Article in WoL today: - http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/cardiff-city-stepping-up-full-11788385 Not very impressive when, as someone said earlier, we appear okay at full back but where the hell is the striker we clearly need? It also looks to me like WoL have had the door into City shut firmly in their face. Always on the back foot and behind with the news achieved from other channels. As Sparks pointed out with the Manure guy "off the radar" post.
If you ask me its a bloody shambles,it seems as if everyone we go for is signed up by other clubs, will we ever get a striker that can score on a regular bases or some pace on the wing,i don't think we will as Tan it seems as sewn up his pockets. As I said its a bloody shambles and I feel sorry for the st holders as I think they have been duped.
I had doubts about renewing this season but as an official old git I get a concession so it only costs me £10 per game and if I can't get to a match then I give my ticket to the grandson of the guy 2 seats from me. However, I like to think I still get value for my money. While I achieved that from the Blackburn game, if only for the Duffy novelty factor, I certainly got sod all satisfaction from QPR and decided against going away to Brum and Fulham as I'm simply not enjoying what we do on the pitch. It could be argued that the last 30 minutes at Fulham turned things around but I can't see that being achieved game on game If we don't get in players of the quality Trolls thinks we need and the season continues in the same vein then it is very unlikely I will renew for 2017/18 even at my knock down price. I understand the need to be finance aware in view of FFP constraints and that we need to get rid of Sparky's Klingons ASAP but are we not £1.5m+ up from the sale Fabio and Moore and Huws' purchase and I bet Huws is on a lot less than Fabs. If VT has trousered that profit I would be extremely disappointed (not that we will ever know unless Trolls spills the beans) but that money and the savings from dumping the Klingons should give us some degree of bargaining power in the market. I wonder what fee we offered for Blackett as Manure apparently accepted the same offer from Reading and us. Blackett will take some stick if included in the Reading side for Saturday - although it was probably the right choice for him.
Cardiff City FC is pleased to confirm the signing of goalkeeper Ben Amos on a season-long loan from Bolton Wanderers, subject to international clearance. The twenty-six year old ‘keeper came through the ranks at Manchester United, making a total of seven First Team appearances for the Red Devils. The former England U21 international also garnered experience on loan at sides including Oldham Athletic, Hull City and Bolton Wanderers, before moving permanently to the Macron Stadium in July 2015. Ben becomes our sixth signing of the summer, joining Lex Immers, Kenneth Zohore, Jazz Richards, Frédéric Gounongbe and Emyr Huws at Cardiff City Stadium. #BenIsABluebird Read more at http://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/news...d-amos-signs-3273465.aspx#B3q0z5yBp1sdRA7g.99
WOL also saying we're interested in Lafferty. Don't think he'll be cheap mind and wasn't that good at Leeds on loan season despite his international pedigree
All going on today. Hope, really hope, the Marshie thing is not correct and A A is blowing smoke up his own arse. Good news on Dikgacoi. Could never spell or say his name.
I'd say Marshall will almost certainly be going. He's on massive wages so it's not just the transfer fee to consider. Obviously it'll cost us points over a season and everyone at the club needs to be careful just how much weaker they need to make us. I know nothing about Bennett other than the fact the worst PL side I've seen for years don't need him. Surely we now need to sign another keeper. If we were getting rid of both of ours we should have been in for Ward on loan from Liverpool, obviously way too late now. Great news for everyone (except Greggs ) about Dika. We need to spend the money saved/received on creativity and firepower, IF we do, this could turn out to be a very good decision.
Time will now stop until the window closes. Result: Marshie stays!!! He doesn't want to leave. VT don't ignore his wish.
interesting that Tony Xia pulled the plug on selling Joe Bennett to the Wendies because he didn't want to sell to a promotion rival. So, he thinks Villa will be in contention.......... ......and that we won't.
With both of us on 5 points after 4 games I don't think either of us have made any sort of statement Sparkey. Also interesting that a team below us LOAN us a keeper. Suggests he isn't their first choice, or they're trying to offload wags. Would still have been happier keeping Moore!
