mate if i wanted to slag him off i would use choicer words than that, the forum is here for discussion and points of view, i have made my views know so have you, show me where i have said any of the of the names you mention above you cannot, My view is he makes too many mistakes and judging by the replies I am not in the minority on this view, i think Nacho raised some fair points about him, and i am in total agreement with his view point,:emoticon-0150-hands

Jon played in the Championship different standard Burge is playing in div 1 with the best defence in div 1 in front of him of course you stats will reflect that, but its not the end is it have a look how much Jon is worth compared to Burge the differences reflects the gulf in quality, to put it in perspective A 300 Thou house to a 5 Thou auction
Jon Mac never played for us in the championship. It was Steele, Ruiter and camp. All 3 were worse than Burge by the way.

The point I’m trying to make is that he’s up there with the best keepers in this league yet people posting stuff suggesting he’s by far the worst when he’s clearly not. We’re in league 1 and we have one of its better keepers so for now let’s get behind him because we’ve had worse, way worse.

Having such a good defence in front of Burge has massaged his stats massively. We were poor defensively under Jon imo, probably down to Ross’s tactics inviting teams on when winning, so to Parkinson’s credit that’s one success of his time here sorting that out. I actually remember Burge being half decent for a few games last season when he came in for Jon. Very surprised at how bad he’s been this season, we definitely need a replacement in by close of play tomorrow.

and my point is he is not very good not the worst but possible not strong enough to get us promoted, like i say its all opinions Burge has the strongest defence in league 1 in front of him hence the percentages, or do you disagree with the comment of the best defence.

You and @Mick Sterbs stop arguing man, we're Sunderland supporters and want the best fir the team and we deserve it.
Best supporters in the world.
Stick together.
@Nacho
Yes mate, call a spade a spade.
Honesty is the best policy and a North east trait i love and adhere to but sometimes it's best to nurture an interest you hold close to heart.
Fooking Leicester won the league ffs when we could of had done better yet see ourselves in this shìt pit.
Breaks my heart.

There’s a lot said about the defence being his saving grace yet most days on here and RTG Mcfadzean, power, Flanagan and leadbitter are being talked about in the same derogatory terms as Burge. If they are as bad as mentioned most days then surely Burge is holding his own in goal.

think we have found the root mate i have never been on RTG so it must be on your mind when here , most of the time we get behind the lads but there are times when people need to vent their anger and it will always happen A month ago i was praying for Wyke to be transferred still dont recon him but he is potting a few so i hope the new guy is better or they can work as a team

Hopefully Wyke and Ross Stewart can play well together, I certainly wouldn’t like to lose his goals at this point in the season. 15 in 25 is very decent return for any level.

I just lurk over there, too many spanners on RTG it’s seems a waste of time trying to have a debate.
