He has cost us points and will continue to do so , hopefully we will get promotion , and if we don't want to go straight back down, then he has got to be changed , so most fans will see it as the sooner the better
The lad had a couple of rushes of blood yesterday but if we don’t get another keeper in we get behind what we haveSo do you reckon we’ll get a championship or premier league keeper to come here? No point another league 1 keeper signing as Burge has the most clean sheets and best clean sheet percentage in the league and has conceded the least goals in the league. LJ is all about the data so I doubt he sees it like you do.
p.s. he’s also in the top 5 for save percentage.

You think he deliberately moved his hands out of the way? I’m out.The only explanation for anyone who thinks differently is they haven’t watched us enough this season. He literally moved his hands out of the way on that first goal yesterdayWould have been a basic save for most. I honestly think he’s the worst keeper in the league, he’s very lucky to have a good defence in front of him.
Hardly any of them will survive if we get promoted but at the minute we’re in league 1 with a decent league 1 keeper. Be better to get behind him than slag him off on a public forum.for me it was as plain as day we really should be looking for a goalie, as this guy will not survive if we get promoted he is just not good enough, makes too may mistakes and the pinnacle of his competence will be lower half of this league or the next one down. His stats may look good but overall the defence helps him tremendously he may get called on a few times during a game but as all fans know when its left to him to save the day, we are all worried, in the days before premiership we always had a better goalie, this one has been checked and been found wanting in skill
What does it matter if we get behind them or not, unless I'm missing something we aren't allowed in the stadium. When we are then of course it's relevant. Nowt wrong with calling a spade a spade. I'm not going to pretend crap players are great.
We are in a division that has less quality players than the ones above.
Some will step up, some won't.
We aren't allowed in the ground but social media gives more of a voice imo.
You and everyone else are entitled to opinions but I'll ask you this.
When your son plays or played football or anything else, would you say to him he was shìt and never make it blah blah, or encourage him to do his best ?
It's irrelevant because I'm not talking to Burge directly. I've never booed a player of ours in the ground and my only contribution to Twitter was to get my wife to use her account to send an encouraging message to Pickford when he was going through a rough spell.
On this forum I say what I really think however and I would hope that everyone else does the same, it'd be canny **** on here if you were only allowed to post if it was something complimentary.
I wasn't having a go, I'd just rather see some positive attitude. But like I said your entitled to your views.
I don't think Burge is shìt, he just isn't as good as some keepers we've been used to.
But I look at Charlie Wyke, another player I didn't think was shìt yet others did and he's doing ok now
I don't think Grigg is shìt but I agree he has to go because it's not working out and we need positivity.
I won't comment on Graham lol.
I'm putting my faith in Lee Johnson and hopefully we get it right now,
RTG would be calling me a happy clapper now and blaming the fans blah blah, but I think we're moving in the right direction and imo it helps to get on board.
Peter Reid got shìt at first.
I just like to call a spade a spade as I say, if Burge goes on to have a blinder for the rest of the season I won't feel compelled to eat humble pie because I'm just being honest about what I see and I think that's the right thing to do.
It's not out of the realms of possibility btw, his problems are nearly all confidence based and it's possible Johnson can work on that and we might see a similar effect to Wyke. Personally I'd rather just sign a keeper that doesn't terrify me.

We drew a lot with big Jon like.Absolutely shocking keeper. He never looks comfortable with crosses, he makes hard work of the easiest saves and his kicking is pathetic. If we had big Jon in goal yesterday we would have won. He will be the difference between us staying down and going up this year imo. We desperately need someone in before the window closes, hopefully LJ realises this.
This.I don't have much of an issue with his shot stopping, not that top 5 is anything to brag about for a team that wants to finish in the top two.
Unfortunately almost every other attribute that is valuable for keepers apart from shot stopping (the most important one granted) he's bottom three if not bottom. I'll also give him credit for his quick and neat short distribution although a lot of his long kicking is awful.
We've just signed a LB from the prem and a winger from Rangers, it's not exactly impossible for us to improve on a flawed league one level keeper.
There you go mate, you think it's a confidence issue rather than ability.
He needs support rather than criticism.
I rest my case![]()
mate if i wanted to slag him off i would use choicer words than that, the forum is here for discussion and points of view, i have made my views know so have you, show me where i have said any of the of the names you mention above you cannot, My view is he makes too many mistakes and judging by the replies I am not in the minority on this view, i think Nacho raised some fair points about him, and i am in total agreement with his view point,Hardly any of them will survive if we get promoted but at the minute we’re in league 1 with a decent league 1 keeper. Jon Mac first season with us played 46 games and kept 13 clean sheets, clean sheet % 28.3%We drew a lot with big Jon like.
I agree with your comments about winning yesterday and possibly several other games as well.
This.
When did I reply to you? Jon played in the Championship different standard Burge is playing in div 1 with the best defence in div 1 in front of him of course your stats will reflect that, but its not the end is it have a look how much Jon is worth compared to Burge the differences reflects the gulf in quality, to put it in perspective A 300 Thou house to a 5 Thou auctionJon Mac first season with us played 46 games and kept 13 clean sheets, clean sheet % 28.3%
Second season played 32 with 10 clean sheets, clean sheet % 32.3%
Lee Burge so far played 20 played with 11 clean sheets, clean sheet % 55% he also has a better save % than both of Jon Mac’s 2 seasons ( only just ).
