He has cost us points and will continue to do so , hopefully we will get promotion , and if we don't want to go straight back down, then he has got to be changed , so most fans will see it as the sooner the better

I would like to see a keeper who commands the 6 yard box more. Yesterday when balls were coming in he didnt seem confident to come and claim or even punch. Maybe he doesnt have the physical stature. He also doesnt seem an organiser to me, I want to see a keeper screaming blue murder at defenders who dont so their jobs.

That said the save he makes at 1-1 yesterday was top drawer. He did seem to play a part in the 2 that went in though. I just dont know how easy it would be to replace him.

The lad had a couple of rushes of blood yesterday but if we don’t get another keeper in we get behind what we have

This all day long for me.
Unless a player is like chodwell, as a supporter I'm all for supporting the team and players that we have.
    We've had worse keepers.

You think he deliberately moved his hands out of the way? I’m out.

Hardly any of them will survive if we get promoted but at the minute we’re in league 1 with a decent league 1 keeper. Be better to get behind him than slag him off on a public forum.

Hes pap. Ridiculously bad for the first goal in particular yesterday, couldn't get down or extend his arms quick enough. Soft.

What does it matter if we get behind them or not, unless I'm missing something we aren't allowed in the stadium. When we are then of course it's relevant. Nowt wrong with calling a spade a spade. I'm not going to pretend crap players are great.

We are in a division that has less quality players than the ones above.
Some will step up, some won't.
We aren't allowed in the ground but social media gives more of a voice imo.
You and everyone else are entitled to opinions but I'll ask you this.
When your son plays or played football or anything else, would you say to him he was shìt and never make it blah blah, or encourage him to do his best ?

It's irrelevant because I'm not talking to Burge directly. I've never booed a player of ours in the ground and my only contribution to Twitter was to get my wife to use her account to send an encouraging message to Pickford when he was going through a rough spell.

On this forum I say what I really think however and I would hope that everyone else does the same, it'd be canny **** on here if you were only allowed to post if it was something complimentary.

I wasn't having a go, I'd just rather see some positive attitude. But like I said your entitled to your views.
I don't think Burge is shìt, he just isn't as good as some keepers we've been used to.
But I look at Charlie Wyke, another player I didn't think was shìt yet others did and he's doing ok now ;)

I don't think Grigg is shìt but I agree he has to go because it's not working out and we need positivity.
I won't comment on Graham lol.

I'm putting my faith in Lee Johnson and hopefully we get it right now,

RTG would be calling me a happy clapper now and blaming the fans blah blah, but I think we're moving in the right direction and imo it helps to get on board.
Peter Reid got shìt at first.

I just like to call a spade a spade as I say, if Burge goes on to have a blinder for the rest of the season I won't feel compelled to eat humble pie because I'm just being honest about what I see and I think that's the right thing to do.

It's not out of the realms of possibility btw, his problems are nearly all confidence based and it's possible Johnson can work on that and we might see a similar effect to Wyke. Personally I'd rather just sign a keeper that doesn't terrify me.

There you go mate, you think it's a confidence issue rather than ability.
He needs support rather than criticism.
    I rest my case :emoticon-0148-yes:<laugh>:p

I think criticism is fair enough when it’s due, all players have a mistake or a bad game in them but a lot of the time on here and RTG it’s not just criticism. Players being called “ ****ing woeful “ ‘absolutely ****ing useless “ “the worst keeper ever to wear the shirt” etc when in reality their stats say the opposite ( Wyke & Burge).

When someone has made up their mind on a players worth it’s rare that they’ll perform a u-turn even when presented with cold hard facts.

Oh aye if he was confident he'd be absolutely fine because he's ok for this level otherwise. That's pretty much my only issue with him because it has a big effect on his performance.

If we were at the games I'd support him to the hilt I just don't see the problem with being critical on here.

mate if i wanted to slag him off i would use choicer words than that, the forum is here for discussion and points of view, i have made my views know so have you, show me where i have said any of the of the names you mention above you cannot, My view is he makes too many mistakes and judging by the replies I am not in the minority on this view, i think Nacho raised some fair points about him, and i am in total agreement with his view point,:emoticon-0150-hands

Jon Mac first season with us played 46 games and kept 13 clean sheets, clean sheet % 28.3%
Second season played 32 with 10 clean sheets, clean sheet % 32.3%

Lee Burge so far played 20 played with 11 clean sheets, clean sheet % 55% he also has a better save % than both of Jon Mac’s 2 seasons ( only just ).

Jon played in the Championship different standard Burge is playing in div 1 with the best defence in div 1 in front of him of course your stats will reflect that, but its not the end is it have a look how much Jon is worth compared to Burge the differences reflects the gulf in quality, to put it in perspective A 300 Thou house to a 5 Thou auction
