Rickie has always had the quality. What I have seen from him for Southamton is no different to what we had a Rovers. The difference is that he now has quality around him.
Impossible to pick one over the other - unless on a rainy day with a slow pitch against a team of cloggers then Lambert. On a dry day against a good footballing side then Maynard.
Rickie has got a lot better since he joined Saints. You are spouting b****cks. If he was at the same standard now from when he joined Saints from Rovers he would not have scored from open play in the Championship.
It aint bollocks. Rickie was brilliant with the gas, he did score against Championship opposition when he played for us, and he played well against Premier league opposition when he played for the gas. Stop being a **** making out you have made him a better player, when in fact you haven't. As I said, better quality around him has helped him become a better player, nothing else.
Lambert cost us £200k and scored 59 goals for Rovers @ £3389 per goal. Oh, and we got £1 million for him.
Maynard cost 82 £2.25 million and has scored 43 goals for the Teds @ £52,325 per goal. And he'll flee Trashton for nothing.
And that neatly crystalises the difference between Rovers and City.
City have an extremely rich owner who throws money at his pet project as if it's going out of fashion. They are living proof that if you throw enough crap at something, some of it will stick.
Rovers are owned by a well-off milkman and a fairly comfortable builder. They don't have the money to artificially improve our league position, that's why we're bumbling along in the lower leagues and are, quite frankly, crap.
It's a complete mystery to me why 82 are in the relegation zone of the 2nd tier. They have had an enormous quantity of cash thrown at them over the past decade, yet they're barely 6 league places above where they were under Wilson 8 years ago. A damning indictment of someone who knows how to make money, but has no idea how to spend it.
Truly a chronic waste of tens of millions of pounds.
Impossible to pick one over the other - unless on a rainy day with a slow pitch against a team of cloggers then Lambert. On a dry day against a good footballing side then Maynard.
A small pitch suits Fatty then? Not so much running I spose...
Billiard tables are very small

and the reason NM hasn't scored as many as RL so far is because our season only started a few weeks ago!

Oh, the Bristol City time zone, totally forgot about that!
Up until that point I thought you response was very accurate.
Let's hope your management is just as ignorant - then we'll give your boys a bit of a wake-up call!
You clearly have no idea that we have just changed managers - of course there is no reason why you should.
We have taken 10 points out of a possible 12 in our last 4 games - and we have very high morale despite our league position!
Let's hope your management is just as ignorant - then we'll give your boys a bit of a wake-up call! You never know - perhaps they think we're so cr@p they will give RL a rest and play your reserve team against us!
