Can't help thinking that if Rovers fans were a little bit more interested in their own match, and what their strikers might do away at Southend this Saturday, then maybe the Gas wouldn't be so cr@p. This season has all the hallmarks of last.......rubbish start by City, "we'll be playing you next season blah blah" comments from Gas, City pick up avoid the drop, Rovers slump to relegation..........it's like fooking Groundhog Day for those sad sorry Gas'eads No wonder they cling to players of their past.
Good point LL but I hear it all the time at work too. First comment I had when talking to a Gas'ead at work today was '"Millwall were awful, couldn't string two passes together".......that after losing 2-0 at home to Barnet! If Lambert stars and Southampton win then they'll be happy enough, even if striped themselves at Southend......embarrasing really.
A few more of us saints fans would be going on sat if the directors of Bristol City didnt like looking at all those empty red seats!
Hi, getting back to the original thread Lambert is the obvious choice with all his extra goals, but he is playing in a team with confidence and with quality players around him. It is therefore difficult to say how Maynard, who often seems isolated, would manage at Southampton and vice versa with Lambert. I rate Maynard and think his pace and technique would be a great add to our squad. Bristol C fans could you tell me a bit more about Marvin Elliott and Nyatanga as they were billed the next great thing a few years ago but I have barely seen them play. Thanks .
that's the point, its only me on here. Whereas there are several of your knobheads on the gasboard all the time. Can't demand it one way, and play it the other boys
shhhh...I'm having a look too! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZOmIpTRVNA Lambert is better than Maynard...........
No it doesnt, as the season isnt even over yet, whos to say Lambert wont go on a dry patch and Maynard wont catch him up? that and Maynard has already scored 21 goals at this level, something Lambert has never done...
anyone know the figures of goals scored in open play? im sure Maynard would have a better ratio! 50% of Lamberts goals are penalties thats why he dives as soon as hes in the box
That's the beauty of Lambo. He scores pens, free kicks, 30 yard screamers and tap in's. He is a class act, and makes a lot of his own goals out of nothing...at least he did for Rovers!
He's a class act with Southampton, better team, better ground, leaner and fitter, playing at a higher level, better than being down with the dross..
