As a Saints fan it's a pretty easy choice. Lambert is pretty lean these days and is so much more than just a target man.
We haven't always been this **** mind, but yeah basically It's not like we are sleeping giants like you lot....
Say's the advocate of the Barcelona of the 4th tier and promotion at the first attempt, what a load of codswallop...
Look, for the southampton fans. I have an awful lot of respect For Lambert, he has dragged himself away from the most hellish nightmare on earth for any pro footballer and got himself a decent club on the up and made something of himself. You can only respect that ability to claw back from the brink of disaster. I would have set fire to myself and then hung myself from the loft hatch if i had to play for the Gas! (then shot myself to be sure!) ..... with a cannon from close range.
You're out of luck there YOBG, it appears he's a bit confused but not in that way http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...-fight-against-depression-and-alcoholism.html
Im sure Jason Roberts would agree Banksy....and Zamora....and Stewart....and Cureton.....and Nigel Martyn............. I could go on?
The man whose five-year court battle opened the way for today's footballers to earn multi-million pound wages is broke, down on his luck and facing a different fight — against depression and alcoholism. Sounds like he could do a job for us
Which surely must call his professionalism into question? The player you will see on Saturday will be a far cry from the tubby plodder who was at Rovers, happy to be a (very) big fish in a (very) small pond...
You're right Chris they would all agree. They all managed to get out at the first opportunity, if they hadn't already been loaned out on several occasions etc. Still on the bright side their combined sales did manage to keep Dunford in mercs and Bentleys and smoking jackets and brut 45.
I don't deny it, he was fat though and it took a fair bit of hard work for him to slim down. Apparently he was on the "Matthew Le Tissier" diet.
zamora.. doing well.. stewart.. fair play played for city but did nothing.. cureton.. did nothing.. nigel martyn.. david james head and shoulders above him. and jason roberts.. turns like an oil tank.. Naming one striker.. andy cole.. head and shoulders above ALL of them in his playing career.
The same Andy Cole who needed 15 shots on target before he could score a goal? ****ing hell, if I played for Man Utd at that point I would have scored 200 goals in my career
Its just at the western edge of Southampton, across the mighty Test River and bordering the wild and untamed New Forest.
