Think he would fail at City but do reasonably well with Liverpool.

Hes never been one for signing established stars. He prefers going for unknowns and making them stars. Not sure that approach would work at City or Liverpool.

He's not really been in the position to buy established stars though. Dortmund don't generally spend loads compared to other big clubs. That's why I thought he'd be ideal for Arsenal. Similar clubs in a lot of ways and both like an attractive style of football.

If he went to Madrid or City he'd be given established stars whether he liked it or not.

Would be unfair to Carlo to sack him. Poor batard was already unfairly sacked by us imo.
He won them that coveted 10th CL trophy they all pined for.
Unless the team has a meltdown and finishes outside the top 4 or something catastrophic like that, it would be extremely harsh on Carlo to let him go. Unless he leaves off his own accord of course.

But this is Real Madrid of course, so **** knows what they will do.

Pellegrini is almost certain to get sacked at the end of the season, no trophy = sacked. Especially if he finishes outside the top 3. I cannot see City accepting that

Real are even worse than us re treating managers fairly. If Real win nothing (and Barca win the title) having spent all that money in the last couple of years, he'll be in trouble.

Ancelotti and winning titles <laugh>

He doesnt do titles. 3 in his career suggests he is a cup manager. Hes like Rafa plus.

Ancelotti = 4 CL's in 20 years
Jose = 2 CL's in 15 years
LvG = 1 CL in 24 years

Ancelotti is most def a cup manager on that evidence.
Dont suppose there are many managers who have won more CL's than league titles.

Some managers prefer winning both the CL and League in the same season. A true test of quality.

Others are Ancelotti and Rafa Benitez.

Is he really that good a manager? I mean Dortmund have lost some quality players but their record this season is horrendous. They should at least be top 6 surely?

I do hope he does go to City as i don't want them to get Simeone.

<doh>
Yeah I got that from his list of honours and I counted one of the CL's he got as a player!
So he has won the same number of titles as CL's.
