I know we're in a dodgy place generally but we'd be mugs if we let players go on loan who would command a solid fee. If anything being in our position means it's more important than ever that we get money for our players who are actually worth some.

I'd tell them to come back with a cash offer or don't come back at all. He's our player and if we don't sell him even if he does sulk a bit he'll still be useful.

Cash is always better mate. No argument there. But we're not in a strong position and other clubs know it. Freeing up wages to get others in is just as important.

Most of them like Khazri and Lens etc nobody really wants so just getting them off the wage bill is good enough but it'd be a shame if all we got for Kone and Ndong was freed up wages. I think the fact they're our players puts us in a strong enough position to tell clubs to bugger off if they don't make an acceptable offer even if we are doing badly in the league.

That's what I'd do anyway. If you bend over for every offer anyone makes you'll never get any money from sales.

Mika gone by mutual consent.

Read he was on canny wages too.

Could have shipped 30k+ off the wage bill today ✔

It would make my week if we tear Rodwells contract up
This is the start of CC plan to ship out the dead wood and freshen up the squad with new arrivals. Couldn't agree more about Rodwell too! We live in hope ;)

Why the delay?
I would imagine its very difficult to sell our club to new players as we are in the clarts football wise, Bain has to become the salesman of the Century pitching the upside of becoming a Sunderland player in our present predicament. We have an owner who wants out and take all the money he can and were bottom of the Championship.
If we dont get new strikers on board then I'm afraid relying on Asoro and Maja however good these two lads potentially could be then the trapdoor to Division 1 beckons.
And I can't believe that scenario is fast becoming a reality, what has gone wrong with my wonderful club, thanks a bunch Mr Short.

Walters would be superb, he’s a bully and a very underrated player.

He’d be quality in this league I reckon.
Heard him on TV as a football pundit seems really level headed - could be a great addition in the championship.
Also despite all the doom and gloom on here we are still in 3pt touching distance of a clutch of clubs but we need to beat our rivals
Starting with Hull then Brum a minimum4*puts required. EDIT Predictive txt typos

4 puts is an average per hole for me these days :)

Sad thing is I agree with the 4 points!! But I want 6 (as we all do) and, 3 months ago, would've looked for 6 in hope - now I look for 4 and expect a maximum of 2!!

How far have we fallen
