Realistically our remaining 1st team squad will consist of:

Keepers:
Pandur & Allsop

Defenders:
Coyle
Jones
Giles
Jacob

Midfield & Attack:
Tufan
Seri
Slater
Omur

I can't see any of those we've loaned out featuring - clearly not wanted and / or not at the level we need (including Vaughan disappointingly).
Furlong to go out on loan (or kept if we don't sign Giles).
Greaves and Philogene highly likely to go.
Maybe just maybe we can hang onto Delap for another season.
If we keep Connolly then people making such a call want shooting.

We're sorted for keepers. But that's about it!
That doesn't look to me like we're building for next season. It looks more like a **** show. Massive rebuild incoming ... again.

Connolly has 8 goals this season. Outside of Delap, who could potentially not come back, why would the club let a striker who can score goals this level go when they could provide cover? It’ll depend on the manager I suppose, but I’d rather keep him than sign somebody else hasn’t proved they can do it.

I think a lot comes down to his fitness vs how much he'll want paid.

There's a lot of people assuming Giles will still be with us next season, obviously at the moment he's not our player.

It looks like he has a groin strain, so may well not be available for a while, so it gives us a chance to take a good look at Jacob (who could potentially be better, negating the need to spunk £4m on Giles and allowing Furlong to stay on as back-up).

I think it depends upon why he hasn't been available to play. Assuming it's down to footballing injuries (like the collision with Gunn) then OK. If it's down to his head or heart not being in it then I think I'd pass and buy a more willing (and reliable) player.

Ideally for me we would have 2 like for like strikers that have power and technique which it seems is what Rosie wants for a 1st choice striker, and then we would have someone that is rapid to offer something different. Not sure we will ever get the best of out of strikers that don't do a great deal outside of finishing unless we make changes to the way we play. It may be that we can't get anyone who would fit the bill for us but if we could I would pass on Connolly even though I do like him.

Yeah Oscar is there for the season.

Ingram won’t need to drop down to L2, there’s a couple of Championship clubs who want him and a few in League One who would at least match what he’s on here to make him first choice. I think he wants to be a first choice keeper somewhere, it isn’t going to be here so yeah I think given the opportunity he will go.

I'm not convinced he is. Both of these mention the deal being made permanent in the summer. I suppose that doesn't necessarily mean that the loan deal isn't for longer than that, but it would seem odd not to say so.

It's a bit ambiguously worded on the website, but as far as I know, it's on loan for their season, so it'll end December 31st. Unless like you say they sign him permanently in the Summer.
