I would expect Philogene, Zaroury and Giles would all be in line to start against Millwall, with Omur and Ohio off the bench.

Liam's delight....
I’m so delighted that Anass has agreed to join the club. He’s a player of proven pedigree at this level, having been a huge part of Burnley’s Championship-winning season. Anass is someone I’ve absolutely loved from the first time I saw him play and he’s going to give us so much quality from wide areas. He’s going to get fans off their seats. He’s a technical player who takes the ball, can go one-v-one and completely fits into our style of football. Credit to Acun and Tan for backing me. This signing sums up the ambition of the football club and where we want to get to.

Obviously an incredible window, that goes without saying.

The squad looks very good on the whole, still light on wingers, we've certainly gone for quality over quantity in those positions, and presumably Ömür playing wide when required is on the cards, as well as Slater/Traore if it comes to it.

We're obviously light at centre back too. But presumably with the budgetary restraints this is just the reality, we can't have infinite players and if we want all these attackers with cover for injuries then there has to be a tradeoff somewhere, and realistically CB is the place we're most likely to be able to get away with less numbers, with the fitness record of Greaves and Jones as it is.

I make it 20 players now out on loan, which surely must be a record. I wonder what all these fringe players must cost us in wages and whether it's worth it in the end when only a few at best will ever make it in our first team.

We'll have 5 debutants plus Philogene available on Saturday. Basically half a new team compared to our last game.

Just a thought, but Jaden, Zaroury and Abdus are all comfortable wide right.

Jaden,Zaroury, carvalho and Giles are all comfortable wide left, if we need a more defensive LB option we have Jacob who can hold his own defensively at least.

There are probably more wide options now than at first glance.

Over and out.....
While we're not done just yet, Hull City are. Acun Ilicali has confirmed the club's business is done and dusted. For me, that's a brilliant window. They've brought in some superb attacking talent, they've kept some big players and got rid of a few. They're stronger at the end than at the beginning, and that's always key.

Now, over to you, Liam"

I'm not sure. Giles is the only one likely to have trained more than a day.

Zaroury played against Man City yesterday so he's not lacking match fitness. Think attacking players are easier to throw on at short notice. Carvalho for instance was only here a few days before starting.

Does anyone know what's going on with Xavier Simons? I heard he was injured and returned to the club but not sure how long he's out for or if he's expected to go back.

Maybe, but can they fit a defensive shape off the cuff and start in a new system?

Recon Giles and Sharp start Milwall and Ohio, Abdus, Zaroury off the bench?

Dunno. But I'd be surprised If the Millwall squad wasn't significantly different to the say, Huddersfield squad in a couple of weeks time.

Think he's just rehabbing here.

Pretty sure the club would have announced a termination of loan, bit like us with Delap. They're paying a fee and proportion of wages. What reason would we have to cancel?

Zaroury is already well rehearsed at playing in a system like ours he could well be in the starting line up.

While that's true, I think there's a question of familiarity with the rest of the team. Presumably he'll train tomorrow. Is that enough to then start the following day? Not sure myself, but LR does often throw these big signings in straight away. Did it with Twine and Carvalho both very soon after signing.
