Normally not a problem but when you’re in desperate need for players it's stupid to waste half a window on someone that didnt fancy the move in the first place.

whilst I understand the sentiment I don’t believe for a second that they stuck all the eggs in one basket

"Ryan Kent, at the moment, is not on our list. He's a very good player, but he's not in the mindset that we were expecting him to be," the Tigers owner told Hull Live. "He has to plan his career more clearly. I would say that our aim is sign players that are more determined and focused to join our club. If a player has big confusion in his mind then I wouldn't try to push him, we wouldn't push him. It's not a positive thing to force players. It's better for us to focus on players who want to come and play for Hull City in the Championship."

Hull City have lodged a bid for highly-rated Polish youngster Karol Borys, according to Śląsk Wrocław sporting director David Balda, though the enquiry was rebuffed.

Borys' contract with Śląsk Wrocław runs out in summer 2026, but Balda says the youngster would be available for around 2m euros, though there is an expectation that he would not be granted a work permit given his age and the fact he's not playing in one of Europe's top leagues and would therefore need to be loaned out before arriving in Hull, should the move progress.

“I confirm the offers from Fiorentina and Hull City. Other clubs are also taking information and at the moment there is no option for the Netherlands," Balda is reported as saying.

"PSV invited Karol to visit their club, but Karol and his father rejected the offer. Feyenoord would like a loan with a purchase option, which I have rejected for the moment. We expect a minimum of 2 million euros plus interest and bonuses”

Ruben Vinagre is a transfer target for Italian side Hellas Verona this January.

According to Tutto Mercato Web, the Serie A side have set their sights on the Hull City defender.

Verona are set to lose Josh Doig in a €6 million move to Sassuolo, which means they will be looking to strengthen at left-back before the 1 February deadline.

Vinagre has been with Hull since last summer, signing from Sporting Clube de Portugal as part of a season-long loan move.

The 24-year-old has made 10 appearances in the Championship for Liam Rosenior’s side, including six starts.

If he was a live target as opposed to someone they'd just discussed, then Liam would have stonewalled the question when asked about him.

Pretty sure Zahoury is the more likely target, as he's always been mentioned in the same breath.

We really need a right sided winger, Philogene is best out wide left.
