Hull City have lodged a bid for highly-rated Polish youngster Karol Borys, according to Śląsk Wrocław sporting director David Balda, though the enquiry was rebuffed.

Borys' contract with Śląsk Wrocław runs out in summer 2026, but Balda says the youngster would be available for around 2m euros, though there is an expectation that he would not be granted a work permit given his age and the fact he's not playing in one of Europe's top leagues and would therefore need to be loaned out before arriving in Hull, should the move progress.

“I confirm the offers from Fiorentina and Hull City. Other clubs are also taking information and at the moment there is no option for the Netherlands," Balda is reported as saying.

"PSV invited Karol to visit their club, but Karol and his father rejected the offer. Feyenoord would like a loan with a purchase option, which I have rejected for the moment. We expect a minimum of 2 million euros plus interest and bonuses”

Would be nice to bring him into the club even for 2 million euros we could leave him slask to continue his development as they seem to be doing a good job at the moment with the interest of bigger clubs taking notice, and he could turn out to be a very shrewd investment for the future for us why pay millions if we get promoted when we could potentially have one already for minimum cost, worth the gamble.

Are we swimming in money to spend £2M and loan him back?

We already did that with Celi.

Why would you leave him at a club where he's not playing?

Might turn out good news if it forces the issue of getting another striker in. Less so if we end up bargain hunting in league one for players who have never shown the ability to step up a division previously

The second the extent of the Delap injury was known, we were always going to try for another striker. I don't care what LR says to the media, in December he downplayed the idea of bringing another keeper in.

The club aren't stupid, they see it. Hopefully they can bring a decent one in

People moan about VAR and technology etc but the sooner players are cyborgs and half robot and ****, immune to these human injuries, the better.

Plus a cyborg could have a chip in the back of their heads that beeped if they were offside.
I’d sooner have cyborgs on the VAR panel. They’d realise after 2 weeks that they were ****ing useless and immediately de-commission themselves!

Just to add my penny-worth about Twine. His last game was one of his better ones but I had got to the point that when he was on the ball anywhere near the opposition box my heart sank a little. A player of his supposed quality should have regularly been putting players through and taking decent shots but they were so few and far between. He's no great loss for me.
