Players we actually own that are good enough, and robust enough for a starting 11 spot in a promotion chasing team…doesn’t look great.

Greaves
Jones

Tufan
Seri

Connolly (?)
Philogene

We are doing remarkably well despite this. (I don't necessarily disagree with your list, maybe with an addition or two)

Rosenior wanted Allsop.
He's already said Pandur will take time to adjust to Championship football, meaning he's unlikely to take over straight away.
So, there's another wasted signing, time and money (Allsop).

Yes, Philogene was hell of a coup. That's one.
Besides Philogene, we've managed to get Delap and Morton on loan (hardly building for anything).
Those aside, it continues to be underwhelming and in some respects shambolic.

I'm looking just now at the 1st team squad on the OWS ...
Allsop - brought in as No. 1 by Rosenior. Replacement already incoming.
Lo Tutala - pointless
Vinagre - we were warned
Furlong - pointless
Twine - pointless (as commented, we needed to strengthen in nearly every position but his, all that time, effort & money wasted, and now gone to a rival)
Sharp - 38 next month. Really building for the future
Lokilo - a punt, doesn't seem to have worked out.

I get it that not every signing works out but come on. If that isn't underwhelming and shambolic I don't know what is. What a waste of time, effort and money; maybe not big money but time, effort and money that could be better used.

Traore possibly. Although hasn’t been at it this season he’s been ****ed over by being played on the wing all the time where he is hopeless.

I even think Connolly is a push, he always seems he's a stiff breeze away from coming off or his toe swelling etc.
Yeah I added question mark mainly due to his injuries, ability wise I think he could be good enough but need to see him longterm in a fully functioning team

I get your point but the loans of Delap and Morton will have a longer benefit of clubs trusting us with prize assets.

Also regarding loans - seems a lot of championship teams use the loan market to good advantage - like Tella at Burnley or Archer at Middlesbrough last season. Nothing wrong with using loan players trying to get where you want to be. Worked for Burnley not Middlesbrough. Might / might not work for us

It’s impressive really, just worried about the long term planning if we’re so reliant on loans. Back to square one again the next season.

Prior to being smashed and the shards ground into the dirt, was your glass half-empty or half-full?

I don’t think loans are a problem if you use the market well.

No way we go up without Campbell first time around.

The issue this squad has isn’t relying on loans, it’s not being balanced.

You can't always get that overall balance in just a couple of windows though.

Suspect that we expected Twine to be more effective cover on the left wing. Suspect also we expected Christie coming back from injury to be the same Christie as last season. Also get the impression that they felt Greaves and Coyle would deputise on the left for Vinagre, but as Vinagre's barely played its shown up the lack of depth there all the more.

Luton also benefited from having Nakamba on loan, Sheffield United had McAtee and Doyle. It's definitely a well trodden path that works

May I suggest some kind of cut 'n' shut job?

Only don't get it the wrong way round and end up with Allsop's top half and Ingram's feet.
Yes,good idea,a blending of both might be the answer..

We could have an Allam<doh>,Grain,Prang,Gallop,Spring,,Posing,Margin,Soaping..Yes I know,it's ALARMING!!
