The biggest difference between Allsop and Ingram, is the fact that the defence always look far more nervous with Ingram in goal.
May I suggest some kind of cut 'n' shut job? Only don't get it the wrong way round and end up with Allsop's top half and Ingram's feet.
Not sure I agree ( bar the communication mix up in his last game ), but its something I'll definitely look at if we see him again.
Sure but you can also say he should’ve had more if not for others making mistakes, example when Connolly fluffed his chance.
Players we actually own that are good enough, and robust enough for a starting 11 spot in a promotion chasing team…doesn’t look great. Greaves Jones Tufan Seri Connolly (?) Philogene
I even think Connolly is a push, he always seems he's a stiff breeze away from coming off or his toe swelling etc.
We are doing remarkably well despite this. (I don't necessarily disagree with your list, maybe with an addition or two)
Traore possibly. Although hasn’t been at it this season he’s been ****ed over by being played on the wing all the time where he is hopeless.
Yeah I added question mark mainly due to his injuries, ability wise I think he could be good enough but need to see him longterm in a fully functioning team
Also regarding loans - seems a lot of championship teams use the loan market to good advantage - like Tella at Burnley or Archer at Middlesbrough last season. Nothing wrong with using loan players trying to get where you want to be. Worked for Burnley not Middlesbrough. Might / might not work for us
It’s impressive really, just worried about the long term planning if we’re so reliant on loans. Back to square one again the next season.
I don’t think loans are a problem if you use the market well. No way we go up without Campbell first time around. The issue this squad has isn’t relying on loans, it’s not being balanced.
You can't always get that overall balance in just a couple of windows though. Suspect that we expected Twine to be more effective cover on the left wing. Suspect also we expected Christie coming back from injury to be the same Christie as last season. Also get the impression that they felt Greaves and Coyle would deputise on the left for Vinagre, but as Vinagre's barely played its shown up the lack of depth there all the more.
Luton also benefited from having Nakamba on loan, Sheffield United had McAtee and Doyle. It's definitely a well trodden path that works
Yes,good idea,a blending of both might be the answer.. We could have an Allam,Grain,Prang,Gallop,Spring,,Posing,Margin,Soaping..Yes I know,it's ALARMING!! (Ric,watching Countdown)
