Delap out for a ling period is not good & will be a big miss.
My Player of the Season so far
He was leading by a mile in our podcast's Player of the Season, wonder if anyone will chase him down.

Yes if he's fully fit and available, but with the injury he's got I don't think he will be and man city ( along with any parent club in this situation ) have a very big say in when their player is classed as fully fit available. They will not ( and I hope we wouldn't either ) rush him back

Jaden and Jones probably the other 2 in my top 3 as it stands.Hopefully both stay fit for the rest of the season and can battle it out
Not sure how things will work out with Delap but imo I think the most important thing for us would be to maintain a good relationship with teams like Man City even if it meant honouring the agreement.
Any links Red?Jesus both Leeds and Southampton are really pissed at missing out on Fabio…I’ve just been reading a piece by Reporters for both clubs stating they can’t believe he chose us.. the Southampton piece was talking about it being the perfect place and fit, they’re not happy with Morton either lol. Grow up you ****ing idiots, nothing is definite until the fat lady sings……be so funny if Fabio scores the winner against them…..
Delap was missing Brum as a precaution ffsPeople seem to be making a lot of assumptions about Delap's injury. The idea that 2-3 months is a minimum and he'll still need time to build up fitness is a big one. Usually when Rosenior gives an injury prognosis it's a worst case scenario and includes the time to get them fit again. On several occasions he's later said "He's way ahead of schedule" about an injured player.
We're not going to take any risks with him, LR is obviously big on that as he talks a lot about looking after players for their longer term career, but also Man City aren't going to arbitrarily ban him from playing the last 2 months of the season if he's perfectly fit by then, just for the sake of rounding it up.
Yeah Jaden's in second and Tufan third.

So it won't be 3 months then? People are jerking their knees unnecessarily? Is that what you're trying to say here?People seem to be making a lot of assumptions about Delap's injury. It's a terrible loss because of the qualities he gives us, which I think are extremely rare. I don't think that us only having two traditional centre forwards is that big of a deal though. We had the same number for the entire first half of the season and it never really became an issue. In the modern game, and we're very much a modern side, attacking players are more interchangeable than years ago and having out and out strikers is less important than just having good attacking players with the right qualities.
If we could sign someone else who can hold it up, turn and run like Delap can then we'd be mad not to, but I wouldn't worry about signing any old striker for the sake of numbers. We'd be better off utilising Carvalho, Tufan, Twine and Traore playing as supporting attackers as we have done to date.
Even if it was two to three months , he wouldn’t be for for another month after - that’s the season done nearly
It’s two to three months to be back in the team, not two to three months before he can resume training.
Reality is, we’re not really going to know for sure what the situation is until after the scan in a few weeks. If he doesn’t need surgery he could be back in March, if he does need surgery, he’ll almost certainly be out for the season.
