Delap out for at least two to three months.
You'd expect us to look at a replacement now, despite the suggestion earlier in the week that we weren't going to.
If we are serious about finishing top 6 then another striker is a must for me

The really jaw dropping thing about that is not the 'two to three months', but the "at least!!!!!!"Delap out for at least two to three months.

Could be back for middle march do the run in plus playoffs if we are fortunate enough to be involved in the mix so be a fresh player which could be needed then.

Bleeding radiators and dripping washers?
Bleeding refs. Bleeding VAR. Bleeding fans who leave early no matter what the score. Bleeding meaningless stats. In between ordering beers at the beer table how to solve the problems in the Middle East, a cure for the common cold was found, means of ending unemployment annd ending poverty were among the subjects solved.

I very much doubt man city will want him risked again this season unfortunately, it's a serious injury that really needs to be delt with properly for the benefit of his long term career
Well if that’s the case they would have to take him back. As he’s on loan here and we’re paying his wages that would be our choice surely once he’s fit and available we are fully entitled to play him.
Absolutely agree with this.Yes if he's fully fit and available, but with the injury he's got I don't think he will be and man city ( along with any parent club in this situation ) have a very big say in when their player is classed as fully fit available. They will not ( and I hope we wouldn't either ) rush him back
As ever, I'm very happy to be the exception to the rule.I am OK. You only get those drinking alcoholic fizzy pop.
Interesting situation with Alexander Robertson situation at Portsmouth. He is loaned from Man City, has also been playing really well but has been hit with a 3 month injury. But City are saying keep player registered with Portsmouth but will pay his wages whilst out. Hope it’s same situation to allow city to get another player & not impact on ffp.Well if that’s the case they would have to take him back. Absolutely agree with this.
We're 2-3 months minimum anyway and even then we'd need to build his fitness up gradually.Hate to be pessimistic but I can't see us playing him again this season,we could jeopardise the lads career, that's not our style...
He will be a big miss, he is my player of the season so far too.Always worked and grafted for the team with his powerful surging runs, took plenty of knocks too but always kept going. Could possibly be a bigger miss than Philogene.Delap out for a ling period is not good & will be a big miss.
My Player of the Season so far
We can’t just cancel every loan because of injury though. We need to be a bit ruthless with it unfortunately if the aim is to get top 6. Regardless of what we do with Delap immediately a new striker is needed and having him on the books limits it being a loan. Would hope they look at a permanent as well as we dont have a striker on the books next year as it stands
