Someone had to.... so lets hope, based on this that its not plausible..

He's had an odd career. He looks decent, is strong, athletic and looks neat and tidy on the ball. Nothing special in terms of his passing ability but his defensive work and physicality makes him ideal for a Championship team.

However, he's 24 now and he's spent most of the last 3 years playing for Dortmund's B team in the German 3rd division. He's made a handful of appearances for Dortmund's first team but that's it. He's been linked with moves to the likes of Preston, Panathinaikos and Olympiakos in recent years but he's never left Dortmund, even on loan.

Probably bullshit but I heard from someone the reason why Acun and Tan were at the Leverkusen vs Dortmund game was to sort out a deal for Antonios Papadopoulos in January. He can play centre-half and holding midfield.

Give us a P ...... hope he got broad shoulders to get that name on the back of his shirt !!!!

He's really not much better despite being a full international and a lot older, which says a lot.

He's not better at all. Twine is a regular starter while Tufan is only an occasional starter for a reason. Tufan's contribution as a substitute on Saturday was a very good demonstration of why he doesn't start more often; he was piss poor.

I was being a bit generous. <laugh>

It's only one part of it, but Twine is excellent at the pressing high up, not just working hard but knowing when to press and when to hold off. Tufan plays more like Gerrard used to for England, an occasional lung busting run to close someone down but a lot of strolling around letting others do the work.

That’s simply not true, Tufan works just as hard out of and in possession as Twine. There’s a good debate to be had about who serves the team best at various times in a match - but making stuff up doesn’t help that debate one iota.

Before his injury Tufan looked like he might have his best season yet. I aren't going to be writing him or Twine off and we are lucky to have both of them. Twine had a half decent game Saturday works really hard, lot of wasteful touches in good positions though which he needs to sort out.

Tufan had 1 good game before he got injured.

How on earth are we lucky to have a £30k a week player who has probably played well maximum 16 games for us?

I'm genuinely struggling to think outside of the Wednesday game where he has looked good up top. Especially post his injury

He is better deeper where he has more of the ball 100%, I think Adama looked very sharp when he came on against Rotherham. We are solid in that area imo. Need a striker and winger.

I agree he looks better in midfield. Was just responding saying he looks sharp next to Delap which I really dont agree with

You just said he looked sharp next to Delap though.

I thought he looked sharp next to Delap before his injury, yet he is definitely better when he has more impact on the game from midfield both statements were true but can understand the debate. He gets till summer but if a big offer came in and he wanted to leave (plus the cash got reinvested) I'd certainly be tempted.

Is this the same Twine that's in almost everyone's top three in the MOTM thread?
I would like to check the stats on that but I am pretty sure that he has not been in the top 3 on a consistent basis. I kinow he was for the last game when he had one of his better games. Someone maybe could dig up how many times heS been in the top 3 and for that matter compare it with Tufans record from that perspective. Always willing to respect the data.
