Yeah actually he did. Cooper and Cairney didn’t, was before their time. Featherstone has been granted a testimonial, wonder if it will be against us. Ben Wilkinson, Michael Byron and Scott Wiseman were the other young pros in that squad.
Has anyone heard any more regarding the training ground? Just saw a clip of Liam talking about his new contract and he mentioned he and Tan were talking about the training ground but no specific details.
Having watched Tufan the other night I was impressed with his effort he was runnng and chasing again , I really think he wants to play , and stay , maybe he’s looking for a Jan move home but I suspect he’s found his home in football here-shame we can’t always play him deep where he’s on the ball more . I don’t think he likes chasing goalkeepers or full backs .
I’ve been edited !! Wouldnt dream of using the word ‘baller ‘ unless I was an ignorant cricket fan and couldn’t spell or pronounce ‘bowler’ . Dangerous place if you can put words in my mouth , come on out with it who did it !!!
Next season hopefully, very rare you’ll get a loan player taken away from a top 2 contender. He’s one I have tried to keep up with this season for if we don’t go up next season. Marc Leonard at Northampton is exactly what we are missing I think in midfield long term, at 21 in league 1 not sure what his path to Brightons first team will look like, think he’s the realistic one in Jan as they’re comfortable in midtable.
Probably bullshit but I heard from someone the reason why Acun and Tan were at the Leverkusen vs Dortmund game was to sort out a deal for Antonios Papadopoulos in January. He can play centre-half and holding midfield.
He's only ever started one game for Dortmund, yesterday was his first appearance for a year and he's out of contract in the summer. He's not supposed to be on big money and he's going to be leaving to somewhere, so it could be plausible.
He's been linked with Championship clubs in the past as well. A handful of Greek clubs were interested in him this summer and reports in Germany are saying Dortmund won't stand in his way if he wants to leave for regular football in January. He would certainly tick my box of physical defensive midfielder who can also cover centre-back.
Would be a class signing and a level above what we have currently, with all respect to our current centre halves. Replacement during the Afcon then competition for Seri too. Never mind, was thinking of another Greek defender Dortmund used to have
Yes but wnen a sub comes on its hard for them sometimes to make an impact. One thing for suire if he had been on when we got the penalty we would have won the game. I am a big fan of Tufan and it blows my mind that Twine gets a start when he does not. Tufan is twice the player. He is more inventive, runs as hard if not harder, more creative and a way better finisher. And for that matter even though Twine comes with a reputed free kick skills, which he has yet to demonstrate, Tufan would probably do a better job in that area as well. There got that off my chest.
I’m probably Twine’s biggest critic, but this a load of rubbish. Tufan has shown none of what you’ve just said consistently to claim it to be true. He’s been ****e all season bar the Sheff Wednesday game. He was ****e most of last season too. Catchy chant let’s you get away with anything
